HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2191. Today they are six years old! Where has the time gone! Last night Tammy made the constant decision not to come to our bed after she realized how much I needed some space to have a good night's rest for once. I was very thankful for that. Having only Emmy with us worked just fine as we had enough room for ourselves.
At 7:15 am the alarm went off this morning; that's still later than what it will be when school starts next week. Randy got up to make breakfast. Emmy was still asleep and got up a few minutes later, once Randy had put breakfast on the table. Surprisingly the other two were also waking up but did not want to eat anything yet. I helped Emmy get his backpack ready for the first day of his soccer camp and put sunscreen on him. At 8:15 am Randy left with him to take him there. Emmy had a great but tiring day at the camp, and he got one of the daily prizes because of his birthday.
I would have loved to get more sleep as it had been around 2 am when I went to bed, but that was not possible. Tammy and Sammy wanted cereal for breakfast so I gave them some. When Randy returned at 9:30 am, he got Sammy ready and left with him about half an hour later. Sammy had an appointment at the medical technician's place where they tried out something but it wasn't suitable for him. It was 1 pm before they were back.
Tammy got on her tablet - it was her birthday after all. And she joined me for a while while I was trying to get things done on the computer. Just before noon I went to the kitchen to warm up leftovers that we then ate. By 1 pm I was so tired that I had to lie down for a nap.
Two hours later I was up again. Randy was about to leave to pick up Emmy whose camp finished at 4 pm. Just after 4 pm Tammy, Sammy and I left as well. Because it was their birthday, we were going to the one indoor playground I know in Vienna; it's near their kindergarten/school. I had asked Emmy several times if he thought he could handle it after playing soccer all day, but of course he said. However, it was not so.
Walking to the bus stop, we saw Emmy and Daddy going there as well. It was perfect timing. We got on the 4:27 pm bus, then another bus and got to the playground 8 minutes before the cheaper rate started for the last two hours of the day. Sammy got to go in for free again. We put our stuff into a locker and went inside.
For the next nearly 2 hours the kids had lots of fun. Emmy started with the go-kart but Tammy didn't want to do it. You needed a special chip to do it, and we had two of them. Later Tammy wanted to use her chip for the climbing wall, but they closed it for the day right there and then. She was so upset that she was crying about it for quite some time.
They were jumping around on blow-up castles and the huge blow-up mattress in the middle of the room, and Tammy was especially excited about the high slide in the corner. Emmy was too scared to go down the first time he went up and came down the stairs again. Tammy went up and down quite a few times. Emmy then went up a knew net-climbing thing, but Tammy didn't want to. Then they both went to another climbing construct that had lots of obstacles and slides inside. Tammy wasn't so keen and stayed in one place while Emmy checked it all out.
Then we went back to the entrance where they had machines you had to put coins into. Sammy did one, and then they all did another one. Emmy was not happy when Randy added Sammy next to him as he had wanted to ride it by himself.
We then took the elevator up to the top where they had the play area for little kids which was perfect for Sammy. Randy stayed with him there, while I went with the other two who did some more climbing and sliding, then we went to the trampolins. Emmy let himself fall on his behind and was then able to stand on his feet with the bounce. And he impressed me in how close he came to doing a somersault. He turned in the air and landed on his behind. It won't take much for him to be able to do it and land on his feet.
We returned to the little kids' area where Sammy was where the other two then also started playing and having fun. After a while we left again. Tammy wanted to slide again, but Emmy wanted to play hockey at the table. We put a coin in but nothing happened which really upset Emmy who was clearly very tired.
We went back downstairs and found a dark maze with uneven floors. Tammy was too scared to go inside but Emmy did and came sliding down on the other side. There was also a kids' disco in a dark room there where they were dancing and having fun for a few minutes. Then we moved on, and Emmy found the soccer court and started playing with another boy there while Tammy went down the big slide a few more times. Then she tried to go climbing but was told it was closed for the day which was the end for her. From then on it was just crying.
There were only a few minutes left until closing time. We went to the elevator, and when we got off, there were Randy and Sammy. Together we then went to the locker room, put our shoes back on and left. Tammy was upset about the climbing wall while Emmy had overdone it and had a headache and wasn't feeling well because he was so exhausted. We walked to the bus stop, got on, then got on a second bus. Tammy and Sammy were eating their sandwiches while Emmy didn't want to eat. And then he threw up on the bus, and threw up again at home. Just after 7:30 pm we were back home. I gave Emmy a quick shower, a drink and put his pj's on, then he went to bed and quickly fell asleep. Sammy was next. Tammy still wanted to eat some fruit, then it was her turn. By then it was 8:30 pm.
After they were all in bed, I got myself some soup and turned my computer on. I still had all the pictures from the party to edit and had lots of pictures from today. Emmy joined me in bed long before I was done and before Randy had gone to bed. I then went into the kitchen to continue working on the computer. Now it's 1 am, and I still have to load the dishwasher. Today's pictures will have to wait.
