HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2363. This morning was not quite typical. I got up a few minutes earlier to help Tammy and Emmy put their costumes on as they had their carnival party at school today. It was their first time wearing their costumes. Tammy was wearing a princess dress (Frozen/Elsa) that even had lights though they weren't working so well. Emmy was Spiderman with a mask over all of his head. They were very excited. They didn't even need to bring their schoolbag as it was all party today. Randy left with them at 7 am as usual.
I went back to bed but some days Sammy cames to me to cuddle for a while before returning to his tablet which he did today. Randy usually returns around 8:10, then he gets Sammy dressed and takes him to school which he also did today.
My third alarm went off at 9:30 am as I had a student at 10 am. I taught until 11 am, then my 11:30 am student canceled on me. I went to the kitchen to cook lunch, then we ate. I was once again very, very tired. Randy left at noon to pick up Tammy and Emmy and take them to their tennis class. I left twenty minutes later to pick up Sammy at 12:30 am. By 1 pm we were back home. Sammy sat down to watch on the projector, with something to drink and a snack, while I lay down because I could barely keep my eyes open. But I had work to do. I soon got up again and started scanning school books to use with my students later. Time went by way too fast. I then made sandwiches for the kids, and just after 3 pm Sammy and I left the house together.
Tammy and Emmy had tennis from 2 to 3 pm, then Randy took them to the train to go downtown which is where we were meeting up. With only half the trains running, Sammy and I took two subways which wasn't really that much slower than the train and much more reliable. Once we got off downtown, all we had to do was to wait for Randy and the other kids to arrive. We waited for a while and could hear the kids' voices before we could see them. Tammy then came with Sammy and me, while Randy took Emmy to his breakdance class. Tammy had decided to quite breakdance. I was glad to have her come home with me as that allowed me to teach since Tammy was with Sammy.
When Randy and Emmy got to the mall they have to walk through to get to the dance studio, McDonald's had some carneval activities going. There was a wheel you could spin for two Euros to win something. Emmy got to spin it and won a McDonald's icecream.
Tammy, Sammy and I took the two subways home - with Tammy telling me all about their carnival party at school. We got home at 4:15 pm, just before I had to start teaching. Sammy was already very excited to get to play with his sister. I helped him go downstairs with her, then sat down to teach. I taught from 4:20 to 5:10 pm, then had ten minutes to get ready for my next student. Tammy happened to come up at that time. I had given them their sandwiches to eat. They were having fun but Sammy was already asking to come upstairs and use his tablet. I had no time to bring him upstairs. At 5:20 pm I started my next student and went until 6:10 pm. It was at that time that Randy and Emmy returned from breakdance which I was relieved about. I had until 6:30 pm to quickly cut up their fruit for them which I achieved. I gave it to them then sat down to teach from 6:30 to 7:20 pm.
After I was done, I went downstairs with Tammy for piano practice, then it was Emmy's turn. Back upstairs it was already pretty late, so we did quick showers instead of a bath. After that, Emmy still did his reading practice but there was no time for Tammy to do it. I prayed for them all, then I sat down to teach just after 8 pm, while they kids still had to brush their teeth before going to bed. After I was done at 9 pm, I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat and take a break, then I went back to work. Now it's nearly 1 am, and I still have to clean up the kitchen. We/I have an intense weekend ahead of us/me.
