HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2366. As usual, Randy left with Tammy and Emmy at 7 am to take them to school. But after that nothing was as usual. At 7:15 am I got up again to get Sammy dressed in his snowsuit. He had lots of layers of clothes on as it was going to be a cold and snowy day. He was very excited about going skiing and was very talkative. I got ready myself, and just after 7:30 am we left the house so I could take him to school.
We got to school ten minutes before 8 am, and normally the school opens at 8 am but somebody let us in. We went to Sammy's classroom where there was already one teacher. Then the civil servant came by and took us to where all the kids and teachers going on this ski trip were gathering. Sammy had gotten pretty quiet, and I could see on his face that he was nervous. I briefly talked to his teacher who was in charge then said good-bye to him and left. I returned back home where I lay back down for just over half an hour.
At 9:15 am my alarm went off, and I got up and got ready to teach at 9:45 am. I taught until 11 am, then again from 11:30 to noon as my student had to leave early. Then I went to the kitchen to make a quick lunch. We ate, then Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I got to stay home for once since Sammy wasn't coming home until later in the afternoon. It was 1:15 pm when I turned all of my devices off and closed my eyes for a much-needed nap.
An hour later my alarm went off. I was very tired but I got up to get ready for my 2:30 pm student. Just as I started to teach, Randy came home with Tammy and Emmy who quickly told me hello. After I was done at 3:20 pm, I still needed to scan some pages for my afternoon student but my scanner gave me a hard time which cost a lot of precious time. Once I was done, I packed everything up and went to the kitchen to quickly make sandwiches for the kids. It was after 3:50 pm before we left the house together - Tammy, Emmy and I.
It was later than usual but we always get there too early so I knew we'd be fine. We rode two subways doing reading practice, and when we got off the second one, Emmy dropped his hat, and it fell between the train and the platform, right on the rails. It was gone. He was upset but I told him it was okay, it was just a hat.
It was about five minutes before their class started when we got to the programming club. I left them there and walked to the nearby train station and to the McDonald's there. I ordered and sat down, turning my computer on and getting all my equipment out. At 4:45 pm I started teaching. After I was done, I packed up and walked back to the programming club. Ten minutes before the end of the class, I went inside to see what they had done today. There was only one other kid there, their friend, who we always walk with after class. Emmy showed me the sword he had made with the 3D printing stick, while Tammy was still working on her heart. Then they put their coats on, and we left to walk back to the subway.
Emmy was playing hard with their friend while walking back, while Tammy was eating her sandwich. We rode the subway together for two stops, then we got off to go to the other line. By 6:30 pm we were back home, and we were all eager to see our little skier. And Sammy was eager to tell all about his trip. He had greatly enjoyed it. I knew he'd love going down the hill fast. Now he wants to go skiing like that with me, and I'd love for us all to go skiing together if it wasn't so expensive.
I went straight to the kitchen to cut up fruit for them, then prepared for my 8 pm student while they were eating. After that, we went downstairs for piano practice. Now that they don't have 8 pieces to prepare for a competition any more, they're somewhat bored. We need to find a piece to prepare for the Easter party in a month. They both practiced, then it was bathtub tub. After the bathtub I prayed for them, then sat down at the computer to teach, while they were still getting ready for bed. After I was done teaching at 9 pm, I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. I ate and took a break, then I went back to work. Now it's 1 am, and I still have to take care of the kitchen. Unfortunately tomorrow is another early morning. I just don't have a morning off any more.
