Day 2367. Tuesday is the day I don't teach in the morning under normal circumstances which means it's the morning I can sleep in - unless I have anything else going on, like today. Even though I needed sleep bad, I had to get up at 8:30 am again. First I get up at 6:45 to fill the kids' snack boxes for school, then the doorbell rang at 7:45 am for a package delivery. At 8:30 am I got up and got ready to leave the house. Randy was just finishing with Sammy who had his costume on as it was the last day of carnival which meant they were celebrating at his school.

At 8:45 am I left the house to walk to the nearest hairdresser, the one the kids have been to but never I myself. Now it was my turn as I was way, way overdue for a haircut. My appointment was for 9 am which is very early for me. The place was already really full. I was shown to a seat and then waited. I expected to see the red-haired lady who had done Tammy's hair but she wasn't there at all. Another lady finally came over to me and asked me what I wanted done. She then did everything. She dyed my hair first, then I had to wait. Because of it being the last day of carnival, I was offered the typical donut with apricot jam which I gladly accepted. After they washed my hair, she cut it and dried it, and I was finally done. I was happy with what they had done even though it was a little different - both the color and the cut. I paid and left. It was 11:15 am, and I was very tired.

Back home, I went straight to the kitchen to cook lunch. Then I sat down at the computer to prepare for my 12:30 pm student. I taught until 1:20 pm, then I left right away to pick up Sammy at 1:30 pm. It wasn't even 2 pm by the time we were back. He got something to eat and to drink plus his tablet, while I still had to wrap up my lesson. I was still at the computer, when Randy returned with the other kids at 2:30 pm. We were happy to see each other, then I suggested we'd go downstairs for piano practice which neither one wanted to do. Emmy then did it anyway, and he also did his reading practice. Tammy started doing piano practice but quit after three minutes. She was in a bad mood. There was no reading practice happening either. I then made her sandwich, and at 3:45 pm she left with Randy who took her to her dance classes. She had dance sport at 4:30 and ballet at 5:30 pm, and they got back home around 7 pm.

The boys spent the afternoon on their tablets for most of the time, while I was supposed to teach from 5 to 7 pm, though my second student canceled. That gave me more time to cut up fruit for them after they had eaten their sandwiches.

Once the others had come home, Tammy took a few mintues to eat her fruit, then it was bathtub time. As I did not have any evening students, it was much more relaxed, not having to watch the clock. They had lots of fun but then it turned negative again for Tammy who was upset. I comforted her after they had come out, then she agreed to go downstairs with me to do piano practice. Back upstairs, she did her reading practice. Even though it was after 8 pm, we still did a quick story before I prayed for them. Then they brushed their teeth and went to bed, while I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. I really enjoyed having an evening off, though time passed just as quickly. Now it's nearly 1 am, and I still have to do the dishes.
