HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2402. On Monday all the kids were back to school. They had to get up 3 hours earlier than the day before which was really tough for Tammy and Emmy; only Sammy always gets up early. Emmy had a little meltdown and didn't want to go to school but in the end they enjoyed their first day back at school, of course.
After they had all left, I went back to bed for much-needed sleep. I got up at 10:15 am to make a soup and then teach from 11 to noon. After I was done, I finished the soup, and Randy and I ate. He then left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I left 15 minutes later to pick up Sammy. He'd also had a wonderful first day back at school telling everyone about the past weekend.
We got home before 2 pm, and then Grandma already arrived as well for her Easter visit. It was great to see her again. She gave me Easter gifts for everyone, then Sammy gave her her Easter gift. Then we went downstairs. We had a great time talking with her. Randy and the other kids arrived just before 2:30 pm, and I had to go upstairs to teach while they got to play with Grandma. After I was done teaching I got ready for us to leave the house, then I went downstairs for our last few minutes with Grandma.
At 3:45 pm we went upstairs and left the house a few minutes later. Grandma to walk to her car and go home, while Tammy, Emmy and I took two subways to go to their programming class. Emmy did his reading practice on the subway. We got there a few minutes before their class started, and they were happy to see their friend there. I then left them and walked to the nearby McDonald's.
The quieter room was reserved again and closed to the public which was annoying but I found a free table in a corner where I set up my computer. I ordered - including food for the kids as we were out of bread - then started teaching at 4:45 pm. After I had finished, I walked back to their club where I arrived a little later than usual. I still got to see what they had programmed, then we left together with their friend and her mother. They had a great time with her on the way to the subway and on the first subway before we had to get off. We then took a second subway where Tammy did her reading practice.
Just before 6:30 pm we were back home. I went to the kitchen to cut up fruit and gave it to them. Then I sat down to prepare for my student before we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs it was bathtub time, followed by prayer time. There was no time for a story. At 8 pm I sat down to teach, and Emmy lay down in my bed next to me. But then my student didn't show up, so Emmy had to go to his bed. I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After a break, I went back to work, and it was 2 am before I went to bed.
It was a regular morning today. After Randy had left with the kids, I went back to bed. At 10:30 am I got back up and got ready to teach from 11 to noon. Then I warmed up soup for Randy and me. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy and Emmy, and I left 15 minutes later to pick up Sammy. Sammy had done a field trip to the flower gardens with school. They had gone to the playground, had eaten their snacks and had seen the animals there. They returned in time for lunch at school. Sammy had really enjoyed their trip.
We were back home before 2 pm. Sammy was pretty tired from his trip and got on his tablet. I sat down to work and prepare for my afternoon students. At 3:20 pm Sammy and I left the house and took the subway for three stops. We got off and walked to the bus stop where we waited for Randy and the kids to arrive which they did a few minutes later. I took Tammy's schoolbag, said hello to her and good-bye, and walked away with the boys. Randy and Tammy went to the bus stop and took the bus to dance school where she had two dance classes from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
The boys and I took the subway home where we arrived a few minutes before 4 pm. That was perfect as I had to start teaching at 4 pm. The boys were supposed to play with each other for a while but they were both crying which made teaching hard. I interrupted my lesson to comfort them, then returned to my student.
What had happened? Emmy was acting up on the way home so I simply walked on with Sammy letting Emmy follow us. When we entered our building, the heavy door closed on his schoolbag so that he couldn't go on. I still think he could have easily pushed the door open to free himself and go on in but he wanted attention. He started crying instead and stayed stuck in the door. Sammy and I went to our apartment. I expected Emmy to come a few minutes later. When he didn't, I walked back outside. Someone had come through the door and freed Emmy up and was talking to him. He then came into the apartment with me. When he walked in, he was so fast that he hurt his brother who was on the floor which was the reason why Sammy was crying hard which made Emmy cry even more. Sigh. After I had comforted them, I turned on the projector for them.
After I was done with my first student at 5 pm, I gave them their tablets. They had already eaten their sandwiches so I gave them their fruit that I had also already cut as I had known I wouldn't have time. I had two more students teaching until 7 pm which was quite long and tiring. When I finished at 7 pm, Randy and Tammy had just returned home. Tammy was eating her fruit, and she was clearly tired. I sat down to prepare for my 8 pm student, then Tammy did her reading practice. Next we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs, it was bathtub time. After that I prayed for them and sat down at the computer to teach at 8 pm. Tammy and Emmy both wanted to sleep in my bed which hardly ever works as they bother each other, talk and fight which bothers me while I'm trying to teach. Tammy finally left and went to her own bed, while Emmy fell asleep in my bed.
By 9 pm I was done and carried Emmy to his bed. Then I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. I ate and took a break, then went back to work. Now it's nearly 2 am, and I still have to take care of the dishes.
