HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2404. Yesterday it was a regular morning for Randy to take Tammy and Emmy to school first, and then come back and take Sammy. I went back to bed but already had to get up at 9:30 am to teach at 10 am. I was done at 11 am, quickly made lunch for Randy, then sat down to teach again at 11:30. I was done an hour later and ate myself. Just before 1 pm Randy left to pick up Sammy and take him to his horse riding therapy from 2 to 3 pm.
I had some more time and left at 1:50 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy at 2:25 pm. I was a little late because of the first bus being late. Together we walked to the bus stop, rode it for a few stops, then waited for the second bus. It was an 8-minute wait which was more than we had time for. After we got off, we walked the rest of the way to the tennis hall where they arrived nearly 10 minutes late to their 3 pm make-up class. They had missed their class last Friday when we were out of town and got the opportunity to make up for that class. There were two other kids, one was pretty small. Once they were in there, I left and went to the grocery store across the street.
Back at the tennis hall, there were only about 20 minutes left. I was so very tired that I lay down on the couch. Before I knew it the class was over, and Tammy and Emmy walked up to me. They put their coats on, and we left to walk to the train station. We had plenty of time until the 4:24 pm train. We then took the train downtown, then took the subway home. They got their reading practice done on the train/subway.
It was just before 5 pm when we got home, and at 5 pm I had to start teaching. I taught until 6 pm, then made the kids dinner before sitting down again to teach at 6:30 pm. At 7:30 I was done, and we went downstairs for piano practice. Then it was bathtub time, followed by story time. For once I didn't have a student so we had time for the story. In the end it was 8:45 pm before they were in bed, which was rather late. I then went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat and take a break before going back to work.
I finally had a morning without any students today which meant that I went back to bed at 7 am and did not set another alarm which was really nice. I sure needed a morning to sleep. However, it was Randy who woke me up as he was cleaning up and vacuuming since we're unable to find a new cleaning lady. At 12 pm I got out of bed to make lunch for Randy and myself. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I left at 1:30 pm to pick up Sammy.
By 2 pm we were back home, and I had to get ready for my 2:20 pm student. Sammy was on his tablet until Randy and the kids got home at 2:30 pm. At 3:20 pm I was done, then I went downstairs with the kids to do piano practice. Back upstairs, I made sandwiches for them, then we left the house just after 4 pm. Randy and Sammy left a few minutes later to go to Sammy's wheelchair kids class.
The three of us took the 4:20 pm train, then the tram. Both of them finished their reading practice on the way there. After we got off, we walked to the school where we arrived on time. They got changed, then walked into the gym for their weekly exercise class. Today, it was session 4 of 5 of volleyball, and they really enjoyed it.
Not having had students in the morning, I wasn't as exhausted as usual and was reading and on my phone during my one hour in the locker room. At 5:45 pm the class was over, they got dressed, and we left to walk to the tram and take it back to the train station. When we reached the platform, the 6:01 pm train was just arriving, and we got on to go home.
It was nice to be home that early. I went straight to the kitchen to make their dinner and gave it to them. Randy and Sammy arrived about 15 minutes later. They all ate, then we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs, it was bathtub time. We had more time than usual so we were still able to read a story before I prayed for them. Then I had to quickly sit down at the computer to teach my 8 pm student. Tammy and Emmy both wanted to sleep in my bed right next to me but it doesn't usually work when they're both there. Today it did, and they both fell asleep while I was teaching.
At 9 pm I was done and carried them to their beds. Then I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. I ate and took a break, then went back to work. Not it's after 1 am, and I still have to clean up the kitchen.
