Well, it was another rough night last night, this time it was Emmy who did a lot of crying for no apparent reason. Again, I ended up sleeping later than expected. This morning we got up ten minutes after 8 to feed them. After cleaning them up and dressing them, I took Emmy and Tammy downstairs. They have been walking down the stairs with me holding their hands one at the time, but I recently they walk down together, with me holding just one of their hands, and they're doing pretty well.

Last night I had put the new toys we received from our neighbors on their shelves, and turned around one of the shelves with toys they hadn't seen in weeks. So you can image how busy they were looking at everything. It was fun to watch. They spent a lot of time with the new toys today.

Once Randy came, I went back upstairs and to bed. My alarm woke me at 11:15 to turn the warmer with their jars on, and then I went back to bed. At 11:30 I got up for good, and everyone came upstairs to eat. After lunch the boys went to bed first, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy, and once they were asleep, I went to get Tammy and put her to bed. Then I made my food and cleaned up, ate, and lay down for a nap.

Sammy usually wakes up first, and so Randy took him downstairs. Today it was Tammy who woke up second, and I got her and took her downstairs to Randy. When Emmy woke up a little later, I lay down with him, and he rested on my chest for a while. When he got up for good, I called the others up for the afternoon meal, as it was nearly 2:30 pm. They had cereal with fruit, and Tammy and Emmy lots of fruit, apple, pear, watermelon and banana. When it comes to cookies, they are rather picky. Tammy doesn't care much for cookies at all, and Emmy rejects some of what we've got. We're out of the ones they really like.

The past few days they've been saying "heiß" (hot) a lot, even when it's not fitting. And Emmy also repeats the word for cold, when I say it. Sammy said "mama" a few times today, which was really cute.

I cleaned them up, dressed them, and everyone went downstairs with Randy, while I cleaned up and got a few things done. Then I joined them downstairs, and Randy went to the store. And then the fun started.

Emmy was just sooo cranky! He cried much of the time, throwing fits, nothing making him happy. Tammy was cranky at times, but she was also watching her brother, wondering what was going on. We were reading books, and watching a few videos of animals, but he even that didn't help for long. That's when I took the selfie of the four of us. I also got some of the too-big-clothes out to sort them, which I never have time to do. I made progress, even though I had to do some several times, as they kept pulling them out and even taking them elsewhere.

It was already ten after 5, when Randy returned and took my place. I don't know what he did, but Emmy wasn't crying any more. I went upstairs to get their food ready, and they came up a little later, coming to me for bread, while I was still cutting up the fruit. I've now started cutting apples and pears as well, instead of grating it, and they eat it just fine. Today they ate all their bread at the table, and pretty fast. I guess the bread is still really fresh (from yesterday). But we had a lot of fruit to take with us to the bathtub, and they surprised me, when they ate most of it. Sammy ate really well as well, and they all had their cereal with milk leftovers from breakfast. So tonight everyone's been sleeping well.

After I put them to bed, they were having a party again, with lots of laughter. Once Emmy started crying, I checked on them. He had taken his pj's off - without opening the zipper. I guess he's an escape artist. I put his pj's back on, and gave him his pacifier back that he had thrown out, and put him on his belly, and he fell asleep soon thereafter. Tammy was wearing the pj that she cannot take off, or she would certainly have done so as well. She fussed a little after I walked away, but I never had to come back.

I made my food, ate, and went to work. Now it's midnight, and I still have to clean the dining room and kitchen, and have some other office work to do. I'm hoping to be able to tick some items off my list, but at the same time, I'd like to start going to bed earlier.
