Day 718. Last night I headed to bed at 11:45 pm. They seemed to get up a tiny bit later this morning. Emmy came to me first and was up for a while, then Sammy woke up, and Tammy was still sleeping. Wouldn't it be nice if all three would start sleeping longer! By 7 we were sitting down for breakfast. I'm still trying to figure out what to give Tammy and Emmy to eat besides salami, cheese and snacks. All they want right now is salami.

After breakfast we went downstairs, turned worship music on, got the instruments out, and were worshipping God. Tammy gathered up her babies - quadruplets - and was very happy to have them together. She likes having more than one baby at the same time. Emmy was on the drums, and Sammy had the rattle. Then I got out the Bibles. One Bible is big with lots of details on the double-sided pictures. They love it, especially Emmy. Once Randy came downstairs with his breakfast, I went upstairs to clean up and then work.

I made good progress and continued on even though I was tired. Sonja arrived just before 10:30, and I started to cook. At 11 they came upstairs to eat - chicken with rice and vegetables and icecream. I cleaned them up and dressed them and put the boys to bed, while Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. Emmy wanted to be with Sonja again and was not happy to be in bed instead. It took a while before he fell asleep. I waited a little longer still, until 12:30, to get Tammy and put her to bed, so she'd maybe fall asleep faster. It still was a struggle, and I needed to stay so she wouldn't wake her siblings up. In the end Sammy woke up anyway because of all the activity, as she won't lay still unless she sleeps. I took Sammy downstairs, where he got to have one-on-one time with Sonja. Tammy finally fell asleep. Once Emmy woke up, all he wanted was to be with Sonja, so he went downstairs.

At 3 pm Tammy was still sleeping, but everyone came upstairs for their afternoon meal, and so Tammy woke up. They had fun running around on the balcony and inside. Once they were done, they went downstairs, and I went back to work. At 4:45 I went downstairs to play with my little ones. I not only took their shoes with me, but the new big bubble-maker. We went outside, and they loved it! The good thing is that they can do it themselves, even though they did need some help putting it flat into the soap. We used up the bottle that came with it, and opened a new one. They just had so much fun!

Then the boys wanted to play soccer, and they did. First I was holding Sammy, and then Sonja so I could take some pictures. Tammy preferred playing in the sandbox and getting out the rings that she put on her arms. At 5:30 I was just about to leave them to make dinner, when Emmy fell on his knees and blooded his left knee - again. The previous wounds on both knees weren't even healed yet. I took him to the bathroom, cleaned him, and disinfected it, all against his will. Then Randy went downstairs with him, and I started on the food. At 6 everyone came upstairs to eat. The leftover chicken from lunch was gone right away. Not so the rest; both plates had to go to the bathroom, where they ate much of it. Sonja was feeding Tammy and Emmy, and I was feeding Sammy. Sammy finished all his food, as he was busy playing with the faucet and simply ate what I put into his mouth without thinking. He's still not gaining enough weight, so that's a good thing. But it's hard on me to hold him up the whole time, especially as there's a sink right next to the bathtub. And he slips a lot and I have to pull him back into an upright position. But it's so worth it, as Sammy just loves it so much. Tonight he was laughing so hard like I haven't heard him laugh for a while, when his brother put his hand to the faucet to make the water go every which way. When I pull him away to get him out, he cries really hard too for a while, as he does not want to stop playing. And today Tammy joined them again at the end.

I put them to bed, and they waved goodbye at Sonja. Emmy always asks about the ones he cannot see - Daddy, Sonja - and I tell him where they are. I really have to encourage him to sleep, but he still falls asleep faster than his sister. Tammy just tosses and turns for a long time without sleeping. I finally walked away while she was still awake, and returned a little later, when she was crying, but stroking her head just for a minute is all she needed to fall asleep. I made my food, ate, and went to work. Suddenly Emmy was at our closed bedroom door, and I put him back to bed. At 11 pm he was crying again. Yesterday he slept without getting his milk at 11 pm, like he does most nights. Tonight I made him a bottle with the last of the baby milk, and with the bottle they use to drink with during the day, not a baby bottle. Randy just washed all the baby bottles, so it's time to box them up and shelve them. I'll have to see what I do tomorrow, if he wants his milk.

Now it's after midnight and everything is done and I'd better get some sleep.
