HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2344. Sunday! I had my alarm set for 11:30 am but today it was Tammy who was so loud that she woke me up a few times before they all went downstairs to play. At 11:30 I got up and went to the kitchen to cook lunch. Just after noon we sat down to cook, and at 12:30 pm Randy left with Tammy and Emmy to take them to their maths club. For me it was time to get working on the computer. Sammy was having fun doing different things, and I helped him as needed.
At 1:30 pm Randy returned and went straight downstairs to get everything ready downstairs as the heating repair people are coming in the morning. For years we've had trouble with the heating, and right now we only have 17 degrees Celsius downstairs. He not only cleared the area of the heating but also vaccuumed it. It took him the whole half hour he was home. At 2 pm he left again to go pick up Tammy and Emmy. On the way back to the subway they threw some stones onto the frozen lake and had fun doing so.
Just after 3 pm they returned home. We then went downstairs for piano practice. Tammy was starting to act up again at that point. Back upstairs, there was not much time left. At 4 pm we all left the house again to go downtown. We took the subway and then the tram. Sammy was so very excited as he'd been asking for many weeks to go there. It was the kids' first time seeing Kasperl and Pezi there in a regular performance. We were once there for a party and saw a show.
After we got off the tram, we walked to the entrance of the building. We left the wheelchair and our coats with it, then took the stairs down to the theater. We showed our tickets and went to our seats. Sammy was very excited. He wanted to sit with me and ended up sitting next to me or on my knees for the whole time. Tammy had behaved really badly on the way there and sat with Daddy, while Emmy stayed with Sammy and me. And then the performance finally started. Kasperl and Pezi were there right away, and they did their greetings that Sammy already knows by heart as he watches a lot of their shows on YouTube. Sammy was elated! Then their adventure started, and it was much fun. Halfway through the show, there was a break. The kids were saying that they were hungry but we had planned to go to McDonald's after. They still had a little snack each. It wasn't long before the performance continued. An hour after it had started it was over.
We put our coats back on and walked to the tram stop. We had to wait 7 minutes in the cold before it arrived. We rode it for 4 stops and got off near the McDonald's that we then went to. They were so hungry that I had ordered our food on the app. We found a table, and Randy went to get the food. They had already started to take it all apart again as it had taken us some time to get there but we got our food. Everyone was really hungry and ate very well. There were no leftovers to take home.
Once done, we walked to the subway and rode it home. It was just after 7 pm when we got there. I sat down to prepare for my 8 pm student, then it was bathtub time for the kids. Back out, there was enough time for a story. I prayed for them, then it was bedtime for them while I sat down to teach. I don't usually teach on Sundays but because of the soccer tournament yesterday I'd had to move my student to today. I had a good time teaching until 9 pm then I went back to work on my computer getting important work done. I'd had way too little time this weekend doing the work I don't have time for during the week. Now it's nearly 1 am and time to take care of the dishes before going to bed at my usual 1:30 am.
