MORE PICTURES TO COME

Day 720. Last night I headed to bed at midnight. It was another night with a lot of activity, and I can't even recall the details now. We had our usual routine in the morning. I was doing office work all morning and kept going, even though I got very tired. At 10:30 I started cooking, and a few minutes Sonja arrived. I was really glad as Emmy had been crying for a few minutes already. At 11 I called everyone upstairs to eat. I had made scrambled eggs with vegetables, and Tammy and Emmy ate little. So little they didn't get icecream, but they didn't care and didn't eat more to get it. I was feeding Sammy today, while Randy was making omelets for the adults.

After lunch I cleaned them up and dressed them and put the boys to bed, while Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. I had a really hard time to get Emmy to sleep, even though he was tired. It was nearly 12:30 before he did. Tammy seemed tired as well,, but it was as tough as usual to get her to sleep. Randy was out grocery shopping. Emmy woke up first, and he wanted to be with Sonja right away, so he went downstairs. Sammy slept longer again, though not as long as yesterday, and I took him downstairs, but then the girl was up to, earlier than usual. I sat down with her, and I thought she was gonna sleep on me, but when she saw her Daddy, she wanted to be with him. That was fine with me, as I still had plenty of preparations for us to leave at 3 pm. I returned to making their dinner-to-go.

At 2:15 pm I called everyone upstairs for the afternoon meal, while still working hard to get everything ready. We fed them, and dressed them for church. At 3 pm we left home on time.

We took the train, together with Sonja, then said our goodbyes and took the subway. Somehow we got to church pretty early today. We sat in the last row in the sanctuary. At first they stayed close to us. The service started at 4 pm. After about 25 minutes Emmy started asking for food, even though it was way too early for them to have dinner. We still left the sanctuary and went to the baby room.

It's a new buiding, and they still have final touches to do. Today there was a TV with a live feed, which was nice, but it was not yet mounted to the wall. Of course it was really intriguing for all three of them.

I got the food out and set it on the little table for them to help themselves, while Randy put Sammy into a high chair. Of course Tammy also wanted to sit in it later, and then Emmy. And they enjoyed the toys there. The three little cars, the baby bed, and also the empty closet they could hide in. Sammy sat in the baby activity seat for a while and enjoyed it. All three were very active tonight. We ended up leaving the room about 20 minutes before the end of the service and returned to the sanctuary.

We still sat in the last row, but now it was quiet, and at times Tammy and Emmy talked loudly. One time the preacher asked a question, and one of them said "ja" (yes) with a loud voice, as if to say amen, and made people smile. Sammy was pretty cranky, and I had to constantly swing him this way or that way to keep him happy. Then we took communion, and of course they wanted the cups too. Then the service was over, and we slowly made our way to the exit. Randy just bought a board second-hand that attaches to the stroller so that a child can stand on it and ride it. Emmy had stood on it on the way to church, just because he wanted it, and now Tammy was standing on it on the way home. They had both enjoyed it, and I think they also enjoyed having their sibling close to them.

When we got to the train station after having taken the subway, we still had a 15 minute wait until our train arrived. We got their food boxes out, and they ate a little more. At 7 pm the train came, and 20 minutes later we were home. Once again they walked home from the subway station. We quickly got them ready for bed. They were pretty tired. The boys fell asleep pretty fast, while Tammy needed more time. But when the food delivery guy rang the doorbell at 8:15, they were so fast asleep they did not hear it. I had just lef their side a few minutes earlier. We sat down with a movie to eat our food. We stopped halfway through the movie, as I knew I had a lot of pictures to process today. Now it's after midnight, and I still have to clean up the kitchen and do the dishes.
