Day 772. Last night it was close to 1:30, when I went to bed. Way too late. And the night was rougher than usual. They already came some time after 5 am and just never went to sleep at the same time. It seemed that there was action the whole time. Finally they got up, and I fell asleep again. Only to wake up to quite the mess they had made.

After breakfast I took them downstairs, where I turned worship music on and got one of the new Bibles out. When Randy came I went upstairs to work. Tired or not, I tried to get as much done as possible. At 10:45 I stopped to cook lunch, which was a little more work-intensive today. At 11:30 everyone came upstairs to eat. And today they FINALLY ate! They love pork, and Tammy loves sauerkraut, while Emmy did not touch it. Neither one of them likes dumplings. And so they had their puddings today, for the first time in days. And they got to go in the bathtub to play with the water coming down from the showerhead, which they enjoy so much. Once Sammy was done eating, he joined them, and he loves it as well. They were all upset, when we got them out. I put the boys to bed, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy.

Of course the day sleep was limited as we had to leave the house, it was hard to get them to sleep. It took me about half an hour, until 12:30 before Emmy finally fell asleep, and I was able to walk away, Sammy fell asleep right after I left. At 1 pm Randy came back upstairs with Tammy, which was really to early for her to lie down, but we already needed to leave at 2 pm. By 1:20 I had succeeded to get her to sleep. I was extremely tired myself, but returned to my computer. Just minutes later Emmy woke up and ran to me. I picked him up and lay down with him, and we both fell asleep. But only after I had set my timer to 15 minutes, which is all the time I had. I enjoyed the cuddling time with him, and it was a rude awakening for both of us 15 minutes later. I dressed Emmy, Randy dressed Sammy, and suddenly Tammy was also on her feet, just at the right time. We left on time at 2 pm.

We walked to the bus stop, made our bus, and got off after a few stops. Then we still had to walk quite a distance to get to the dance studio, where we arrived a few minutes before the class started. We showed our negative test result and were let in. And then we started with a few dances and songs. With one song the kids have to just turn on the spot, when it's their turn, and both Tammy and Emmy did great turning today. Sammy also got to do it. As for the other songs, they were really only just looking rather than participating.

Then the teacher got equipment out again and set it up around the room. Tammy and Emmy immediately went for the ladder and enjoyed climbing up and then across the board and then jump into the empty ball pen. She had also set up a little hill of mattresses, and Sammy enjoyed it. Tammy and Emmy also rolled down a few times later. And of course they grabbed the cars or motorbikes and rolled all across the room. One time Emmy went through under the slide and Tammy followed him. They also played with different toys.

The teacher had prepared some crafts and asked the kids who wanted to do it. It was a while before ours were ready to go there and do it. Emmy went first. The teacher had red paint on one plate and gave Emmy a brush to dunk it in there and paint his half-plate red. Then she asked him to put his fingers into the white paint and paint dots on top of the red. However, he does not know what dots are, and so he just smeared the white on top of the red. When it was Tammy's turn, the teacher guided Tammy's hand to make dots. Then she glued on a stem, and the toadstool was done. Instead of keeping all their many crafts, I took a picture to keep as a memory.

Then it was snack time. Our three were sitting by the table quickly, as plates of food were brought out. I put some food on each of their plates, and they all ate quite a bit. Then we tidied up, she sang a good-bye song and got pages full of stickers out for them to choose a sticker from to put into their own little participation card.

It was time to put their shoes on and start our journey home. After the long walk, we just missed the bus again, and so we had to wait for the next one. By 5:10 we were back home.

It wasn't worth for them to go downstairs to play for a few minutes. Instead I had them sit down at the table and started making their food right there and then. They ate some but stopped while I was still cutting up food and went to the bathroom, where the water was filling up the bathtub. We heard them play there, while we were at the dining room table. When I finally went there, I was shocked by the mess they had made. They all went into the water, where they continued eating and ended up eating pretty well. And they had great fun playing in the water again and were upset, when we got them out to put them to bed. They ended up in bed by 6:30 pm today, as we had started earlier. Tammy and Emmy were wide awake, even though Tammy had only slept half an hour at nap time. I stayed with them but they kept me very busy trying to keep them from leaving their beds and getting them to lie down and sleep. It was a whole hour of effort before they were finally asleep and I could walk away. I made my food and ate before getting back to work. Once again I was falling asleep while writing this report, but now it's time for the cleanup.
