HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 779. Last night I headed to bed at 1 am. Some time during the night I realized that Tammy was in bed with us. In the morning Emmy joined us, some time before 7 am, and soon they were both up and running and doing stuff. Most of all they did a lot of crying today, fighting over dolls and the like. At 7:20 I got up to make breakfast.
After breakfast I took them downstairs, where I turned worship music on and got their Bibles out to read. Tammy is always eager to read right away, and we went through a lot of stories. When Randy came with his breakfast, I left them and went upstairs to finish cleaning up. There was no point starting any work, as my Mom was coming to visit, for the first time since their birthday end of August. She arrived at 9 am, and the little ones were excited to see Grandma again. She brought a new book, and so they sat down to read it with her. For the next two hours they had fun with her. Then she had to leave, and I started cooking lunch.
Just after 11:30 I called them upstairs to eat. Thankfully they ate some food today. Then they went into the bathtub to play and ate their puddings there. I put the boys to bed, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy. Sammy fell asleep rather quickly today, at 12:15. Emmy needed some help, and it took until 12:45 before he slept. Randy came upstairs with Tammy just after 1 pm, and thankfully she was tired, but did need some help. I'm just glad she didn't wake any of her brothers up and fell asleep rather quickly. And then they were all asleep at the same time, which doesn't happen often enough. It was a shame we had to wake them up today.
Sammy got woken up first, while I picked up Emmy to dress him him. Then it was Tammy's turn. Time was already pretty short. She'd only had half an hour of sleep, and so she was very cranky and upset. She was fighting me the whole time as I was trying to dress her, and then put he into the stroller. I had to put the seatbelt on against her will. It was already after 2 pm, when we left the house, and I didn't think we'd make our bus. However, we did get to the dance studio on time. We showed our negative Corona test result and were allowed inside.
The class is always 90 minutes long and starts with several dances. Today Tammy really tried to do the actions to the songs, while Emmy was still watching. When she did the same song with kid after kid, where she inserts their name and asks them to turn, both Tammy and Emmy kept turning, doing a great job.
She also did a song, where they hide different body parts, and both of them did that. In the end she had the kids all run at the same time to her at the other end of the room and back, and they did a great job doing so. They were having great fun.
Then she set up an obstacle course and started playtime. They were all having great fun climbing and playing and riding motorcycles, as well as going down the slide and jumping off the table onto the mattress. Sammy had great fun too. He climbed up the ladder with Daddy's help, and impressed me with the way he was walking with Daddy holding his hands and holding him up.
The last few minutes the teacher was getting their food ready, and then a Mom started putting the tables and chairs up. Tammy immediately joined in, putting the chairs by the table. She loves helping. But she also shocked me, when she pulled Sammy down the ramp by his hair! Then all the kids sat down by the table, and the teacher brought out plates of food. All three started eating and ate a good bit, then they left to go back to playing. But there wasn't much time left. The teacher sang a good-bye song with them and then got her stickers out that every child could choose one from to put into their little participation booklets. Then it was time to put our shoes on and go back home. We had to walk to the bus stop, and then ran, when we saw the bus approaching, and made it.
Just after 5 pm we walked into our apartment. We had received a few Amazon packages, and I allowed them to unpack them, which they love doing. Then we sat down to eat dinner. I had obviouslyly nothing ready at that point, but made it while sitting at the table with them, and it worked out. After a while they got off the table to go into the bathtub. They ate most of their food there, Sammy all of it, and had fun playing. Then it was time to go to bed.
By 6:45 pm they were in bed, and it started out as another tough night of not getting them to sleep. By 7:30 they were finally asleep, and I could walk away and make my food. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now I still have to do the cleanup, and my eyes are already falling shut while I'm writing.
