HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 764. Last night I headed to bed at 12:30 am. Once again I had to take Emmy back to his bed several times and would not let him climb into bed with us until the morning, when Tammy was with us as well. At 6:40 they were up, and at 7:15 we got up for breakfast.
After breakfast I took them downstairs, where I turned worship music on and got the instruments out which I had not done in a while. Emmy likes the drums. I also got the Bibles out, and we sat down to read it together. The first one I bought them is still their favorite (after losing the big one on our trip). After we were done reading, I started cleaning up, as we had not done so last night and the Mobile Support lady was coming again after several weeks without her.
When Randy came with his breakfast, I went upstairs to clean up and do office work. A few minutes later the lady arrived, I did a little small talk with her, and then she went downstairs to play with the kids and specificially Sammy for the next 90 minutes. At 10:30 I started making the soup so it'd be ready by 11:30. That's when everyone came upstairs to eat. And they ate really well today, and so they got some puddings to eat. Then I took them to the bathtub and turned the showerhead on, and so they started having fun. I let them play for a while. Still, Emmy was upset, when I got him out, and so was Tammy, when she came out next. They were out before Sammy was done eating, and so he got to have the bathtub to himself, and he also enjoyed it. He was laying on the bottom, with a thin layer of water, and having fun. But he had to come out as well.
I put the boys to bed, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy. The boys fell asleep rather quickly. But I knew that Tammy was not gonna sleep this early, and I did not want this to be the third day in a row of nap time being a disaster. Unfortunately it was anyway. Tammy has not been falling asleep before 1:30 pm recently. After an hour of sleep she woke Emmy up, and today I simply could not get him to fall back asleep, even though I certainly tried. When Sonja arrived some time after 1 pm, she took Emmy downstairs with her. Randy left for the grocery store, while I took over from him to try to get Tammy to sleep. And then she also woke her other brother up. Thank God he fell asleep again, which is rare for him to do. By about 1:30 she was finally asleep. Ten minutes later Sammy had had enough of being in bed, and so I took him downstairs as well.
But Emmy was really cranky because of having slept only an hour, and wanted his Mommy. I walked away again, but after a few minutes of listening to him scream, I returned, picked him up, and took him upstairs with me. He sat right by me as I was trying to work, which was very difficult, but at least he wasn't crying. I finally turned my phone on and let him watch animal videos which he greatly enjoyed, and it allowed me to actually work a little Then Randy finally returned, and even though Emmy had been asking for Daddy, he chose to continue watching a little, before he left to check out the shopping bags.
Unfortunately all the noise had woken Tammy up as well, and so I took her downstairs to Sonja and Sammy. I also tried again to get Emmy to stay there. I had realized we had forgotten to take our Corona test that we should have handed in before 2 pm to get our results in time, and so we took our tests that then had to be dropped off at the store. Since I needed to go to the bank, I decided to be the one to run the errand and to take Emmy with me, who was still calling for Mommy and crying. And so I dressed him, got ready, and at 4:15 we left the house together, just him and me, no strollers.
Emmy was walking or being carried by me. We took the subway for two stops, then went to Billa, where I handed in the Corona test boxes. The bank was right nextdoor. Once inside, I realized that I had brought the wrong ATM card, and so I could not do what I had come for. We went back to the subway, and for the second time toeday Emmy got to take the escalator, and he managed it like a professional. 20 minutes after leaving we were back home again. I took his extra clothes off again and took him downstairs to the others, and again he was crying, when he didn't get to stay with me.
Sonja had already had to leave.
I returned to work for a little, and at 5 pm I started making their food for dinner. At 5:30 I went downstairs, so we could tidy up again. Randy left, and cranky Emmy had no interest in cleaning up. Tammy immediately went to work, when I said we'd tidy up, and continued working to the end, like she has been. Later I gave her 20 cents and her piggy bank, and she proudly put the coin in there. I'm really impressed by her determination and endurance, just getting it done. As for Emmy, he actually took off and went upstairs. They can now climb over our barrier, when they want to. When the rest of us arrived upstairs, I found him already eating his dinner, which just wasn't fair.
I gave them their soup, and we all sat down for dinner. They only eat at the table for so long before they get up and start doing other stuff. So they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating, and were having fun. They even ate a pudding in the bathtub. Then they came out, and we got them ready for bed. They were all in bed before 7 pm. Emmy fell asleep right away, while Sammy needed a little time, and ended up having fun with Tammy for a while. Tammy was having a hard time, as usual, and it took a long time before she finally fell asleep, and that's when I was able to leave and get my food ready and eat. Then I returned to work, and now it's rather late, but I still have to clean up. A susual my eyes keep closing while I'm writing.
