HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 782. Last night I went to bed at midnight. Tammy joined us in bed at some point, and when Emmy wanted the same at 5 am, I let him come as well. Some time after 6 they are always up for good, get up, and mess around, but today something happened that has never happened before. I actually fell back asleep just after 7 am, while they were up and doing who knows what. I was shocked, when I woke up at 7:45 and got up to make breakfast.
After breakfast I took them downstairs, where I turned worship music on and got their Bibles out. We read quite a few stories; Tammy is the most interested in them, while Emmy is annoyed when his brother is there right next to him, and usually grabbing him or his clothes. When Randy came with his breakfast, I left to go finish cleaning up and then work.
We had planned to go to the petting zoo today, but forgotten to do our Corona test yesterday. The only option was to go to a pharmacy to do the quick test, and so we were planning to do so once Sonja arrived at 10:30 am. However, she only showed up just before noon today, so we were unable to go get tested.
I stopped working at 11:15 and started cooking lunch. At noon I called everyone upstairs to eat. Emmy ate all his meat quickly but didn't touch anything else, while Tammy didn't eat anything. They have not been eating recently, and I don't know how to get them to eat. Within minutes Tammy was up and wanting to go into the bathtub. I waited until Emmy was done eating, and then put them in and turned the showerhead on. Randy always complains that Sammy stops eating as soon as his siblings are gone, and he usually joins them in the bathtub. Not today. Emmy was eating his puddings there, while Tammy was crying because she wanted puddings too. She just wanted out, and so she came out faster than usual. She then ate a piece of meat I gave her and sat down at the table putting all the meat into her mouth. When I took the puddings to her, she took all the meat out of her mouth again instead of eating it, so the puddings went back into the fridge, as she would not eat the meat. Then Sonja went downstairs with her.
I put the boys to bed. It was about 12:45 pm. Emmy was wide awake and did not fall asleep until about 1:20; Sammy was asleep earlier. Tammy came upstairs at 1:30 to sleep, and it didn't take her too long. All three were asleep.
It wasn't long before Emmy woke up, and I could not get him to fall back asleep on me. He just wanted to go be with Sonja, and so he went downstairs. He had slept just under an hour. I continued working, as I'd just found out that I had to do the French translation of our newsletter myself after all. And that kept me very busy for the rest of the day.
Just after 3 pm I decided to wake up Sammy and Tammy, so they'd still sleep tonight. Sammy had slept about 2 hours, and Tammy 90 minutes. Both of them went downstairs, as well as some food for the three of them to eat. Since we could not go to the petting zoo, Randy was gonna go to the playground with them and Sonja, while I was translating, but he was so busy organizing clothes that we were both working upstairs, while Sonja was downstairs playing with them. And they had lots of fun.
At 5:30 I started making their food, and at 6 pm I went downstairs to tidy up with them. However, they had already finished tidying up, and so we all went upstairs to eat. Tonight Tammy didn't even eat her soup, just the corn, and Emmy not much more. Within minutes they were in the bathtub, and I took their plates of food to Sonja to give to them. When Sammy joined them, I was holding him up, while feeding him, and he ate everything on his plate, contrary to his siblings. After having eaten and played with the water, we got them out and ready for bed. By 7 pm I was putting them to bed.
As expected Sammy was wide awake and needed a long time to fall asleep, having slept so long in the afternoon. In fact he was the last one to fall asleep. Emmy fell asleep first, and Tammy was up for a while, throwing her pillow, blanket and dolls out, and then wanting them back. I left before she was all the way asleep to make and eat my dinner. Then I went back to work, and after a while I had sent the French newsletter out and continued on to the next item on my to-do-list.
It's already been a very restless night for Emmy and Tammy, and it's not even 11 pm. Emmy has gotten up and come to me several times, and I've put him back to bed every time, but often he wants me to stay, and so I'm sitting by his bed with my computer right now. This morning both Emmy and Tammy had elevated body temperature and a little bit of a runny nose. Tonight their temperature is normal again, but they are both restless. Tammy just cries in her sleep from time to time.
At least I got to write this earlier tonight, so I would not keep falling asleep while writing.
By the way, I forgot to mention yesterday that I cut the boys' hair for the very first time. Today Sonja noticed right away that Sammy's hair had been cut, but not Emmy's. Sammy had had a lot more hair to cut than Emmy..
