HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 784. Last night I went to bed at 11:45 pm. However, as soon as I went to bed Emmy was up and wanted to come to bed with us. For half an hour I tried to get him to sleep, to go back to bed. I finally gave up, given that he had a fever and was sick, and let him come to bed with us. I don't know at what point Tammy joined us, but it was the second rough night in a row. Emmy woke up frequently, and wanted water to drink all night long. Somewhere around 7:30 we got up.
We had planned to go to church this morning. Both Emmy and Sammy had a fever, and all three a runny nose. We finally decided to stay home because of it. I took them downstairs after breakfast, where we got their Bibles out. Once Randy came with his breakfast, I left them to go finish cleaning up and do office work.
I made good progress working. At 11:30 I stopped to cook lunch, and at noon I called them upstairs to eat. I was happy that they were finally eating food at lunch time. And so I got the puddings out after that they ate at the table. Then it was time to have fun in the bathtub, where I fed Sammy his high-calorie pudding. Then the boys went to bed, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy. It was about 12:30. Emmy was not ready to sleep yet, and he kept Sammy up as well. I was holding him at some point, and Sammy finally fell asleep. As for Emmy, it was 1:15 before he fell asleep.
When Randy didn't come upstairs with Tammy at 1:30, I called them up a few minutes later. Normally she'd fall asleep at that time, but today she woke up Sammy once again. And then Emmy woke up too and I lay down with him. He slept a little longer in my arms, while Randy went downstairs with Sammy, and Tammy finally fell asleep as well. Emmy didn't sleep long, though, and so I took him downstairs.
I returned to work. Then Tammy woke up, and I took her downstairs as well. And then I heard Emmy crying hard at the gate downstairs, and finally went downstairs to comfort him and allowed him to go upstairs with me. He sat on the bed with me. I was trying to work, while I turned videos on my phone on that they love watching. After a few minutes of "Barbapapa", he wanted to see sheep videos, which he enjoys so much. After some time I decided it was time to take him back downstairs, which he was not excited about. It wasn't long before he was back at the gate crying for me, but Randy picked him up. Still, after I had finished a big job, I decided it was time to go downstairs and spend time with them. Both boys still had a fever, and Emmy was cranky. I gave him his guitar that he likes so much, and he sat in the swing playing it. Tammy is already over the fever, but still has a runny nose and is hoarse. She was having fun. Sammy was also doing pretty well considering. After half an hour they wanted to call Grandma, and so we did. They were having fun talking to her. By the time we hung up it was already 5:30. I told them it was time to clean up. Tammy helped a little bit, but Emmy never helps. After we were done, we all went upstairs together.
As the food was not ready yet, we sat down at the table where I was making their bread and cutting fruit right there. It worked out better than expected. They were somewhat hungry, especially Emmy. But the time came when they'd had enough, and Tammy got up and went to the bathtub, and Emmy followed her. I put them in, and then they ate a little more. Sammy ate everything on his plate, contrary to his siblings. As Emmy was tired and cranky, he came out first, and then the others. Today they were in bed before 7 again. Sammy fell asleep fast. Emmy wanted me to hold him, and I did. Tammy was wide awake and moving around in her bed. When I put Emmy to bed, he continued sleeping, and so I picked Tammy up, who enjoyed the attention. When Emmy woke up again and wanted to be held, I put her to bed to pick him up, but she didn't appreciate that at all. In the end I lay down in bed with Emmy, while Randy sat down in the chair with Tammy. After a while we put them both back into their beds.
I went straight to work cleaning up, something I usually do late at night. Today I needed to do it right away, so it was done. Our weekly food delivery arrived just after 8 pm. A few minutes later we were ready to sit down and eat and finish last week's movie, but Emmy of course was crying for his Mommy. I stayed with him until I could sneak away. We started the movie, but then he was up again, and I had to go upstairs to put him back to bed. I did that one more time before we were able to finish the movie. We returned back upstairs, and it wasn't long before Emmy was up once again. I sat down with him, but he did not want me to put him back to bed after a few minutes. Finally Randy sat down with him, so I could work. It's already been a rough night, and I expect this to be the third rough night in a row. Please pray for healing for all of us. I hear coughing, and cough myself, frequently.
