HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 787. Last night I headed to bed at 12:30 am. And it was the fifth rough night in a row. It twas especially rough for me, as my own health was the worst, add to that two kids... We got up just before 7:30, fed them breakfast, dressed them, and left the house on time at 8:30. We took the S-train for one stop, and then the bus, until we got to the municipal office for our district.
Because of Corona I had to get an appointment online, and that was weeks ago. The passport the kids received after their birth was valid for two years, and so it was time for a new one. We walked into the building and to a waiting room until we'd be called. Only moments later somebody came up to us and told us that they were testing their fire alarm in a few minutes, and that we could leave the building first. A few minutes later the alarm went off and everyone went outside. We waited for a few minutes, anand then everyone went back into the building. We didn't have to wait in the waiting room for long, bebefore they called our name. We ended up with a nice lady who I gave the documents to. When she looked at the passport pictures, she didn't like them. I had made them myself but they were not good enough for her. The kids came out of the strollers and sat on the chairs, and she was sweet in how she interacted with them. We finished all the formalities, paid, and then she sent us to a photoshop in the mall right next to them.
Thanks to her directions we found it right away. It was tiny. The lady was very nice, and Emmy was the first one to sit on a chair. They need to have their mouths closed for the passport pictures, but Emmy kept showing his tongue. I said "mmm", and finally he closed his mouth, pulling his lips inward. Then it was Tammy's turn. I had to tell her "mmm" as well, and she also pulled her lips inwards. Then it was Sammy's turn. He stood on the chair, with me holding him, and he again put his hand into his mouth, and after I got it out, he kept opening his mouth wide. She finally got a picture, where his mouth is nearly closed. We waited for a few minutes, and then she handed us the passport pictures. We returned to the government office, and a lady there cut a picture each out to add to their application. Then we left.
There was a post office right there, and so Tammy and I went in to get the additional money the government had sent for 2020, when you have more than one child. I had seen that there was a pharmacy right there, and so we headed to the pharmacy to pick up the antibiotics for Emmy. It had been 24 hours since we were at the pediatrician's, and I had not received an answer to my email yet. When the lady put Emmy's card in, the prescription was still not there. It had been worth a try.
We walked all the way to the tram stop and got on the tram that would take us home. Just before 11 am we were back home. I was in really bad shape by then. Today has been the day that I have been the sickest. As for Emmy, his fever disappeared during the night, and he was his joyful and active self again today. Yesterday, after a nap, he told me that an angel had come and touched his throat and the pain disappeared.
I put the soup on the stove and lay down, which is the only thing I could do at that point. Randy went downstairs with the kids. Just before noon I got up and got the food ready. Thankfully both Tammy and Emmy ate some soup today, and so they both got to eat pudding after. Then I put them into the bathtub to play, even though I could barely keep myself on my feet. They didn't stay there too long though. I got them out again, put their clothes on, and put the boys to bed. Randy went downstairs with Tammy.
It was 12:30, and Sammy fell asleep rather quickly. I was hoping Emmy would too, but that was not the case. Once again I tried everything to get him to sleep, even though I felt too sick for it, but nothing worked. Just before 1:30 I called Randy upstairs with Tammy, and he sat down by their beds. As for me, I went to bed myself. I heard him trying to get them to sleep, and at some point he had succeeded. I myself fell asleep too.
I woke up, when I heard Sammy cry, and cry for a prolonged span of time. Even though my whole body was hurting and I was cold, having the chills, and did not want to get up, I did and picked up Sammy and handed him to Randy, who went downstairs with him. A few minutes later Emmy was up, and I took him downstairs too. Finally I got to fall into bed again. I was too sick to even turn my computer on, which is very unlike me. As I was lying in bed, I was just thinking how I did not want Tammy to sleep too long so she'd still sleep at night. I did not know when she had fallen asleep, but at 3:30 pm I stopped the ocean waves and called her name, and she got up. I took her downstairs as well, together with more snacks.
Now that they were all up, it was time for Randy to go to the pharmacy once again. I had heard from the pediatrician and knew that the prescription was now on the card. Even though I was not up for it, I stayed with the three so that Randy could go get it. We still had a good time together. But I was sure glad, when Randy returned.
It was 4:30, and I went upstairs to lie down. I was in really bad shape, hurting, the chills, coughing and nose running. I was not able to do anything but lie down, and that's what I did, setting my timer to an hour, which is when I'd have to start making their dinner. That was probably the best hour I've had in a long time. I slept, with uninterrupted sleep, and slept well, and even woke up just before the timer went off. I felt so much better! I got up and started making their dinner, and knew that I could not have done this and everything else after that just an hour earlier. Randy was impatient, and so I called them upstairs to eat before I had finished cutting all the fruit. Tammy ate hardly anything, just salami, while Emmy had some meat and salami. They soon got up and went to the bathtub, where they had to wait until I put them into the water. They ate a little more in the water, but not much. Same for Sammy. Emmy was rather cranky, while Sammy was coughing the worst. It wasn't long before everyone came out to go to bed.
By about 6:45 they were all in bed. Sammy fell asleep fast, but he's been coughing terribly all night since. Emmy also fell asleep fast, but Tammy was wide awake. At some point Randy took my place by her bed, and soon after she was asleep. However, Emmy has had a terribly restless evening so far, constantly being up and wanting to be held. I sure hope that that's not what the whole night will look like. Now that I've eaten, and writting my report, I just need to do some cleaning and then hopefully go to bed earlier. I'm still not feeling too great. Thank you for praying.
