Day 2322. It's been a quiet first three days of the New Year, being at home for most of the time. We've still been battling this virus, some being more sick than others, and all the kids and I coughing a lot. Only Randy left to run to the grocery store on Friday morning, and this afternoon we went to church together. However, the lady doing the kids' program was sick so we left earlier than usual.

What have they been doing at home, besides usig their tablets? They've practiced the piano very nicely, at least Tammy. Emmy always quits earlier than I would like. But Tammy actually practiced for 45 minutes one time, which was a new record for her! While Emmy is more talented playing the piano, Tammy is now overtaking him just because she practices more. And why do they practice this much? Because they're in a piano competition in February. Their teacher gave me two books to buy and practice, and she'll soon pick which of the pieces they'll have to memorize and play by heart. As they're all pretty technical, Tammy's skills has really improved a lot. On New Year's Eve we watched them play last January, and it's such a huge difference to today.

Tammy also continued her crafts project, putting rhine stones by number/letter on the outside of her mirror. I have to help her staying organized but she loves doing it. As for the boys, Emmy has been playing with his hover soccer ball a lot, and sometimes together with Sammy.  Tammy and Emmy have also been doing their reading practice with me - not every day - and Tammy has completed the 20 pages they got at school to do during the break. As for Emmy, he cannot find his pages anymore, and we've already looked everywhere. I have no clue where they could be.

For me, it's been unusually quiet. It's the time of the least teaching I do during the whole year. I did teach from 8 to 9 pm tonight. It's allowed me to catch up on ministry office work, and there's lots of that at the turn of the year. There's not going to be enough time until I start teaching again on Monday. I also need to write an email newsletter to everyone.

Well, that's all I have to share about these first three days. School starts again on Wednesday, and with a bang for me.
