HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 765. Last night I headed to bed at 12:30 am. However, Emmy woke up just at that time and came to me and he didn't want me to leave his side. I did anyway, and so I had to walk him back to his bed several times. I was so tired! I finally stayed in bed, when he came, and he held my hand and lay his head on my arm and just stood there. I was hoping he'd not fall asleep while standing up. After a while I took him back to bed, but he returned and did it again, and I let him. After a while of standing there, he finally went back to bed. And we enjoyed a kid-free bed for a few hours. Just before 7 am Tammy and Emmy both came at the same time and climbed into our bed, but they never fell asleep. By 7:15 I got up to make breakfast.
After breakfast I took them downstairs, where I turned worship music on, opened all the blinds, and started worshiping and praying. When I knelt on the floor, they copied me, lying down right by me. When Randy brought Sammy, I prayed for him right there and then. When Randy returned with his breakfast to stay, I left to clean up and then work.
I was working until 11 am, and then I went to the kitchen to cook. By 11:30 I was able to call them upstairs to eat. Emmy ate pretty well, Tammy not so much. I now put them back into the high chairs with seatbelts, so they can't get up. I gave them both some puddings to eat. Then they went into the bathtub, where I turned the shower head on and let them play in the water. They had so much fun! Once Sammy was done eating, he also joined them in the water and enjoyed it just as much. They protested, when I got them out of the water, but it didn't help. Emmy and Sammy went to bed, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy.
It's been easy to get the boys to sleep at lunch time, but not today. Emmy just wouldn't sleep, and I had to pull out every trick in my hat. It was 1 pm, before he FINALLY fell asleep, and Sammy a few minutes later. They had been in bed for about an hour by then. Now it was Tammy's turn, and the last few days had been a disaster. I guess it was late enough today, as she stayed in her bed and fell asleep after a while.
But it was already going on 1:30 by then, and we needed to leave at 2 pm. Emmy woke up first at about 1:40. We dressed him, and then his brother, who had also woken up. Then I started dressing a sleeping Tammy, who did not appreciate it. We left the house just in time at about 2 pm.
After a few minutes of walking, I realized that we had not received our Corona test results yet, and needed them for the class. We'd need to stop at a pharmacy on the way to get a fast test done, but I did not have my insurance card on me, so I ran back to get it. By the time we got to the bus, we had just missed it and had to watch it leave. Now we'd be even later. We got on the next bus, rode a few stops and got off to cross the street and go to the pharmacy for the test. They tested us both in the back of our mouth, which is the only way Randy will do it. Then we got onto the next bus to ride 3 more stops. We still had quite a walk ahead of us at that point. By the time we got to the dance studio, it was 3 pm, and we were 15 minutes late.
Thankfully I had alrealdy received my test result that I showed to the teacher who paused her program or us. However, Randy had not received anything, and so he had to stay outside, while I was on my own with three kids. The next song was the one where she goes from kid to kid, and the kid has to get up and turn around, when it's his turn. Emmy did it, Tammy refused to, and Sammy did it too. For the next song one kid was given the drum and had to drum either fast or slow, which meant the other kids were either running or walking. It was hard with three kids. I had Sammy in my arm, Tammy at my hand, and trying to talk Emmy into moving, but he was just watching everything, until it was his turn to drum.
Then I decided to check on Randy and see if he'd received his result. I looked at his phone and noticed that he had no network, so I started checking things out until he had a network connection, and then his results came through. I showed it to the teacher, and then Randy was allowed to come in. Thank God! By the way, it was 8 pm before we received the results of the test we took for the class.
We had missed most of the songs. Now it was playtime. The teacher set up an obstacle course for them again, and they really enjoyed all the climbing and jumping. Emmy wanted the teacher to help him jump, not Mommy.
After a while it was snack time. Emmy needed a new diaper, so he missed most of it. I was feeding Sammy, and Tammy was eating plenty. I had to defend Emmy's plate as she was taking his food. After snack time, she did a good-bye song, and then they each got to pick out a sticker. While we were putting their shoes on, the Mom that had looked really familiar to me talked to me a little, saying how surprised she was to see me here. I meet so many people that I needed time to think and figure out how I know her, as she gave me no hints, but I believe I did. I hope to talk to her more next time.
We were back home just after 5 pm. We took their shoes and extra clothes off, and then they went downstairs with Randy, while I went to work making their food. Once I was done, I went downstairs to tidy up with them and then bring them up to eat. Emmy refused to lift a finger, but Tammy was eager to tidy up. Once we were done, we went upstairs and sat down at the dining room table to eat.
They ate for a short while, and then Tammy stopped first. I guess she had eaten plenty at the dance class. When it was clear they were done, I combined the food on two plates that I took to the bathtub. Then they went into the water, and then Sammy as well. I was able to get Sammy to finish all his food. Today was the third day I had to write down everything he ate for the nutritionist who keeps up with him because he's not gaining weight.
They were all having fun in the bathtub tonight, no crying, at least until Emmy got Tammy's spot under the shower head. When Sammy pooped into the water, it ended the fun, and everyone came out of the water. By 7 they were all in bed. The boys fell asleep fast. Tammy needed a little more time, but it was obvious that she was tired. She'd only had a half-hour nap after all. And so she fell asleep faster than usual, which was a relief. I was able to start making my food and eat it, and then I returned to work. Now it's late, and I've struggled during my whole report with staying awake. I've got to go to bed without having cleaned the dining room tonight. Good thing the cleaning lady is coming tomorrow.
