HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 804. Last night I went to bed at 11:30 pm. Thankfully it was a more quiet night. Emmy joined us at some point, and later Tammy came as well. Then Emmy had a time, when he simply stayed awake and would not sleep. When we got up at 7:15 am, Emmy was finally asleep again, and so I made breakfast and we sat down at the table without him. He woke up at 8 o'clock and joined us, but they didn't want to eat anyway.
After breakfast I took them downstairs, where we got the kids Bibles out and sat down to read them. When Randy came, I went upstairs to clean up and then do office work. I was making good progress, but got really tired, and then I fell asleep. Thankfully not for long. At 11:30 I went to the kitchen to start cooking, which was low-key today anyway. At noon I called everyone upstairs to eat. It was good to see them eat for a change, even though it wasn't much. Then I got some puddings out for them. Sammy, who doesn't eat that fast, stops eating, when the puddings come out, as he wants his pudding then as well.
Then they went to the bathtub to enjoy the water, and then it was bed time for the boys, while Tammy went downstairs. Randy stayed with the boys, while I went downstairs. At 1:15 it had been quiet for a while, and as it was getting late, I went upstairs with Tammy. However, Emmy wasn't asleep yet, and Tammy coming riled him up again. I tried to lie down with him, but that didn't work, so he went back to bed. Randy stayed in the chair by their beds. After a while Tammy fell asleep, but Emmy was still awake. I went to the kitchen and started making their dinner-to-go for church. Time was short, as we had to leave at 3 pm. Emmy never fell asleep, and at 2:30 I got him out of bed and started dressing him for church. Then Randy dressed Sammy, and then I asked Emmy to wake his sister up, and I dressed her. We left just after 3 pm and made the 3:20 train.
We got to church by 3:45, before the service started, and found a few seats in the back. During worship I was holding Sammy for a long time, while Randy was holding Tammy and Emmy. Sammy also walked quite a bit with me holding his hands. It felt like we had stayed in the sanctuary for a long time, before we left to go to the baby room. When I went to get the lunch boxes out of the stroller, they weren't there. Tammy had been kicking the stuff with her feet, and Randy figured that she had kicked out the boxes. And so we didn't have food for them. We did have snacks. Still, I went to the church coffee shop with Tammy and Emmy to get a sandwich for them, that we then took to the baby room.
They all ate some, and had fun playing with what was in the room. Someone turned the TV on for us so we could follow what was going on in the sanctuary. I was getting really tired and lay down on the couch. At 6 pm we left to return to the sanctuary. The service ended a few minutes later. People gave us stuff for Mali, and a few
people talked to us. Then we put their coats on and left.
We took the subway to the train station, where we didn't have to wait long. We took the 7 pm train and 15 minutes later we were home. Emmy fell asleep just minutes before. We let him sleep, while getting Sammy and Tammy ready for bed, then it was his turn. He fell asleep again quickly. Sammy was awake again and wanted to have fun with his sister. Tammy was awake and needed some help. Randy sat with them at first, and then I took his place. Just after 8 pm they were all asleep.
At 8:15 our food delivery arrived, and we went downstairs to eat and watch a movie. It was the first Christmas movie of the year we watched. Half-way through we stopped, as it was getting late. We went back upstairs, and I started working on the pictures. Randy went to bed at little earlier than usual, and I went to the kitchen to start writing my update. Emmy woke up once again and wanted to be held. Randy sat in the chair with him, so I could get my work done. Now 1 am is not that far away, but all I've got left to do is to turn the dishwasher on. I hope they all sleep well tonight.
