Day 795. Last night I went to bed at 10:30, but it was really after midnight before I finally got to sleep, with Emmy being so restless. And it was a terrible night. The fever was so high that it affected my sleep, woke me up, one time I was cold, and then I was hot. And then I had Tammy and Emmy next to me, one on each side. I was just waiting for morning to come around.

I had set my alarm for 8 am, as we needed to leave at 9, after Sonja's arrival. We actually got up just before that, I made breakfast, we gave them their medication, cleaned and dressed them, but did not take them downstairs. Sonja arrived at 9 am, and a few minutes later Randy and I left.

I still felt really miserable, could barely keep my eyes open. We took the subway, and then we had a long walk to the doctor's office ahead. I had a hard time because I was so sick. We got there at 9:45. Randy had never been there before, and neither one of us had a valid Corona test, but thankfully they took us anyway. They had warned me before that it would be a long wait time, but the waiting room wasn't that full. I was too sick to read, so I just closed my eyes. After 45 minutes we were called inside. We talked, she measured my temperature which was high (38.8) and looked at my throat. She also looked into Randy's ears as he's had ear pain. Then we both left with a prescription for several items, including antibiotics. We bought it on the long walk back.

I was glad that we hadn't waited as long as I had expected, and that we made it home by 11:30, so well before lunch time. I was so sick I went straight to bed. I had already prepared a ready-to-eat meal for the kids to just warm up, in case we didn't make it back by noon. Randy and Sonja fed them and gave them their medicine, and then Randy put them to bed. But before Randy could do so with Emmy, Emmy came into our bedroom and wanted to lie down with me, so I pulled him up, and he fell asleep on my chest rather quickly. He then slept nearly 2 hours in that position. His temperature was elevated again, even though he has completed his antibiotics. I don't know why he still has fever and feels miserable.

Randy put Sammy to bed, and then Tammy, but it's been difficult to get Tammy to sleep. She woke up Sammy again. Emmy woke up at 2 pm, and he wanted to downstairs to Sonja, but she brought him back up a few minutes later because he wanted his Mommy. Another few minutes later he and Sammy went downstairs to be with Sonja, while I tried to get Tammy to sleep. She lay on me, and every time I tried to put her to bed, she'd go hysterical. By 3 pm I gave up and just took her downstairs, which is where she wanted to go.

At 3:15 Randy left with Sammy to go to his physiotherapy session. He's still coughing quite a bit, and was cranky today, and so the session wasn't as effective as usual.

Sonja was downstairs with Emmy and Tammy, while I lay back down in bed. She did some crafts with them again, the left one Tammy did, and the one on the right Emmy. When I heard Emmy cry quite a bit at around 4:20, I went downstairs, and he immediately melted into my arms. I then stayed downstairs with them. They wanted to watch monkeys and sheep on my phone, which we did for a while.

Randy and Sammy returned just before 5 pm, and Sammy joined us downstairs. At 5:30 Sonja left, and Randy came downstairs to take my place so I could go make their dinner.

I felt pretty miserable again, but powered on. At 6 pm I went downstairs, but I wasn't up to tidying everything up, and so we went upstairs to eat right away. I was glad to see they ate their soup, which was about it, and Tammy and Emmy ate some bread in the bathtub, but did not touch the fruit. Same for Sammy. They came out one after another, and as no one had wanted to drink their medicine, they all got it into their mouth with the syringe. By 7 pm they were in bed, and Randy sat down with them, while I went straight to bed. I felt miserable, didn't do anything, and fell asleep. I was lying in bed until after 9 pm. Emmy had a restless evening again. He kept getting up, wanting me to hold him, but not wanting me to put him back to bed. Finally Randy took my place.

I got a little hungry, so at 11 pm I made myself something to eat, did the cleanup, and went to work. Now it's 1 am, and I'm heading to bed, hopefully for a better night.
