Day 2174. Tammy and Emmy ended up in bed with us. When I woke up, Randy and Sammy were already gone and Emmy was getting up. I had set my alarm for 9 am and got up then, as did Tammy. Our friends made us good breakfast, then I sat down by my computer to get ready to teach. I taught from 10 am to 1 pm. The others went outside and down to the lake and saw some wood beavers had gnawed on.
After I was done teaching, we sat down for lunch, eating sandwiches and soup. After lunch, we all took a break. At 3 pm I lay down and slept for an hour. I had really needed that. Then the kids wanted to go swimming in the lake.
It really wasn't a hot day as the rain of recenet days has cooled the temperatures down. When we got to the lake, the kids thought the water was really cold. Sammy didn't stay in it for long because of that, so I wrapped him in a towel and held him while sitting on a chair and watching the others in the water. Tammy was having the most fun. Emmy got hurt on the rocks right in the beginning, but was still having some fun after he had gotten over it. However, what he really wanted was to go on a boat ride.
After a while, everyone got out of the water and we walked over to the boat to go for a ride. The kids were excited. Tammy was really cold being wet, with the cool air and slight breeze, so she got wrapped up in a towel on the boat. The kids and I were sitting up front and had a great time. Sammy was finally completely well again today and was having fun again as well. He was very excited when his turn to steer the boat had come and had lots of fun. Emmy was impatient to have a go, and then his turn came as well. And our friend let him go wild. He turned left and turned right and left again while going fast, to the point that I was nearly getting sick. I felt like I was on a ride in an amusement park. Tammy's turn came next, and she also tried to go really wild but didn't quite achieve Emmy's level. After some time we returned to the pier and got off the boat.
We walked back into the house. It was 6:30 pm, and the kids were starving. They got on their tablets, while our friends were cooking dinner. We were soon able to sit down at their table on their porch to eat spagetti. Emmy usually eats little but he ate well tonight, as did the others. And we had a good time talking as well. Sammy was getting very tired, so eventually Randy left with him to put him to bed. Later I also got up to put the other two to bed and found that Sammy was still up. I read a story for Emmy and Tammy who was crying because she had growing pains in both legs. Then I prayed for them and put them to bed. Sammy had just fallen asleep. Their bed time is now 9 pm as that is 8 pm where we were before and where we are going again in a few days.
After they had gone to bed, I talked with my friend for a little while, then I sat down at the computer. Not it's 12:30 am, but it's probably gonna be 1:30 before I go to bed. Sammy has had quite restless sleep tonight; hopefully the rest of the night will be better.
