Day 2125. Last night Tammy and Emmy, to my left and right, were rather restless so I got woken up a lot. And in the morning, Tammy came to me twice and woke me up. Once Randy had left with the kids, I got some sleep until my alarm went off at 9:30 am already.

I got up and got ready to teach from 10 to 11 am, then I had another student from 11:15 to 12:30 pm. Randy and Sammy returned before that since Sammy did not go to kindergarten today. He got an appointment to have his night braces fixed as they still cause pressure points on his legs. Randy and Sammy were eating, when I finished eating.

Just before 1 pm Randy left to go pick up the other two kids, while I sat down to eat. Sammy wanted to play with my door, then he wanted to watch videos on the projector. I was trying to get things done, but I was also very tired and would have liked to close my eyes a bit, but I never got the chance for that.

Randy and the kids returned home before 2:30 pm. It had been their very last day in kindergarten. Now they're not kindergarten kids any more! They brought home all the art work of the year, but the pictures they'll only get after the summer.

We all went downstairs right away. I did piano practice with Tammy and Emmy, then I went back upstairs. Tammy was doing some crafts projects again, which she does a lot, and needed some help from me, so she came upstairs as well. A little later the others followed, and we all got ready to leave the house. We all put our "Vienna Break Kids" T-shirts on - that is, all but Daddy as Randy doesn't have one.

At 3:40 pm we left the house and walked to the train station. We took the train, then the subway, then walked through the mall to where the breakdance end-of-semester party was to take place. Thankfully we found it easily for once. There were already a lot of kids and parents waiting for the breakdance teacher there. He finally arrived, having done some shopping of snacks and drinks for the party.

He said a few words and led us to the dance hall designated for the party. Thankfully it was big, and so there was enough room for everyone. Chairs were set up all along the back wall, and we chose two to sit down on. There was also a table for snacks and drinks right next to us.

The teacher then started the party, having the kids play "stop dance". Whenever the music stopped, the kids had to freeze in place. Sammy also wanted to play along and did as best as he could.

Then the teacher did a group dance. Everyone had to copy what he was doing. The older kids were doing very well. All his students of all his classes were there, so there were quite a lot of kids there. After that, it was break time, and the kids raided the small buffet.

Then they were put into age groups - kindergarteners, 6 to 10-year-olds, and above ten. They then did a group battle, where one kid after another goes to the middle to dance. Sammy was right there as well, watching his siblings and also moving with the music.

After another short break, they were going together two-by-two to battle against each other. One of them was dancing, while the other one was watching, then they'd switch. Emmy and his partner were both dancing at the same time until I went to them to explain to them to alternate. That way they were able to get breathing breaks.

Tammy was whining that she had growing pains, but when she goes, she gives her all, and so she danced with all her might. A father came up to me and told me how impressed he was by her dancing. I then told him that she'd only been doing breakdance for 6 weeks so far. He could hardly believe it.

The next and last item on the program was a parent-child battle. All the kids were on one side of the room, and the parents were asked to be on the other side of the room. I've done quite a lot of dancing in my life, when I was young, so I was ready to participate. I asked Tammy, then Emmy, but both of them said I should NOT participate, so I sat back down. The teacher then always had two pairs of a parent and a child battle each other. Some parents did an amazing job.

Then the 2-hour party was over. The teacher still herded all the kids together for a group photo, then people started leaving. We said good-bye to him as the kids are missing the last class on Tuesday, then asked to take a picture with him and the kids, and it turned out really well. Then we left.

We walked through the mall to the subway that came right away, and then the train came right away as well, which was great. By 7 pm we were back home. The kids went straight into the bathtub, and had eggs againt hat Daddy had made for them. Then they got ready for bed, and we gathered on our bed to look at US photo books. Then I prayed for them and put them to bed. They still wanted to read stories, but I was hungry. I went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat, then sat down to eat. After that, I went to work on the pictures. Now it's after 1 am, and I hope to make it to bed soon.
