Day 2105. For a while I kept getting woken up, then it got more quiet. Randy and Sammy left the house at 9 am to do another bike pickup. At 9:30 am my alarm went off, and I got up and got myself and the kids ready to leave the house. We left at 10 am and took the subway downtown. In the subway, Emmy was showing me that his second tooth is slowly growing and visible.

We reached the music school just before 10:30 am. A boy was doing a puzzle with his Mom, and Tammy joined them. Emmy was running around together with the other boy from his class.

The class started a few minutes late, but all four students were present today. She did the greeting song, then asked the kids different questions. Then it was time for the finger warmup. After that, she had them open the book to the last song they started learning last week. She had them sing the song, sing the notes, and tap it on their legs. Then they played it together with us, just like we had done at home - first they played the right hand, then the left hand, and the parents played the other hand. Tammy went to the front to do it with the teacher, while I was doing it with Emmy. After that, she asked who could play it by themselves. Both Tammy and Emmy had played it at home, Emmy better than Tammy. They both played it better than the others, but neither one played it perfectly.

She reviewed the different chords with them and had them write them under the notes on the next song which is the last song in the book for this semester. She told them to practice this song at home.

It was time for the song, and they went to the front and sang it while she was playing the piano. Then it was the long-awaited storytime. After that, they got their stickers and stamps, and the class was over. Not it's two weeks until the next class.

When we left the building, there were Randy and Sammy waiting for us. They had gone to the nearby playground while we were in class. Together we walked to the tram stop, rode the tram and then the subway and walked to the McDonald's across from the swimming pool. We had a good time there and stayed longer than usual, as they had all those coupons meaning they got icecream as dessert. I was surprised when I saw that it was already 1:15 pm when we left there.

We crossed the square, paid for the pool and walked around the building to the wheelchair entrance. We got changed and walked to the pool where the swim teacher was teaching the previous class. She usually goes over time, and so we still had a few minutes to wait. As it was the hottest day of the year so far, with 29 degrees Celsius, we were all hot and suddenly the cold water seemed rather refreshing than too cold. And so the kids went in before their class even started, and I also took a few steps into the water.

Soon the class started with the greeting song, then our kids got swim noodles, and they basically had to swim up and down the pool the whole half hour of the class. She worked with them at times to get their leg movements right, while I stood outside and walked along as I could see their movements better that way. After the good-bye song, we went into the hot water baby pool where Randy and Sammy had been the whole time. Sammy was excited to see me and played with me the whole time we were in the pool. Emmy was playing ball with other kids, and Tammy was doing somersaults and handstands in the water, as well as dancing. A few times she became part of Sammy's and my story that we were acting out. Randy left after a while as he'd had enough, and after some more time we all got out of the water and walked to the changing room.

After having changed, we left and walked right to the playground that was right there where they were all having fun. Sammy was in the round swing, and two other boys were making it go high, which Sammy enjoyed very much. Emmy then joined them as well. After a while, we left, but Tammy and Emmy wanted to jump on the trampolins, and then Emmy saw this moving skateboard and did pretty well. Then we walked to the subway and rode two subways home. On the subway, they both wanted to do calculations on my phone as I have an app with simple math exercises, and they both did those all the way home and did well.

By 4:15 pm we were back home. I was very tired but Tammy wanted to get the little kid's sewing kit out that we had received a few days ago. As it was probably as good a time as ever, I agreed. There were five different figures to do in there, and Tammy chose to do a princess, then she did a mermaid. I showed her how to sew the two sides together. Before we closed it, we put the stuffing inside, then she closed it up. Finally, she still had to stick the head, hair, eyes etc. on. She had done a great job, with me helping out and fixing mistakes at times. Soon Emmy came and also wanted to do his; he chose a panda bear and also did great sewing it together.

By the time we were done it was just after 6 pm and time for me to go to the kitchen to make their dinner. Somehow I ended up in the kitchen until nearly 8 pm. First, I warmed up some leftovers, then I made their bread with salami, then they wanted hard-boiled eggs and bread with peanut butter. Then I cut up all kinds of fruit for them, and then I started cutting up my salad for dinner. I was actually able to completely finish it which never happens. I put Sammy to bed with a prayer, then sat down with Tammy and Emmy for stories. Suddenly Sammy was right there with us, so he joined us. Then I prayed for Tammy and Emmy, and they went to brush their teeth and go to bed, as did Sammy. I was finally able to sit down with my salad to eat.

After having eaten and taken a break, I went back to work. Now it's 1:30, and both Tammy and Emmy are sleeping in my bed right next to Randy. I'll have to move them apart to somehow squeeze in between them - after having taken care of the kitchen.
