HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2355. Last night it was late again for me so I was pretty tired this morning. Sammy was up first and got up and was loud enough to wake up his siblings. Tammy stayed next to me the longest. Randy was already stressing even though we had plenty of time. I finally got up as well and started packing. Then we went downstairs for breakfast. It was about 8 am.
We had a good last hotel breakfast, enjoying the big selection of food. Tammy saw her friend and said good-bye to her. Back in our room, it was time to finish packing. Suddenly I heard a knock on our door. There was the boy who had been in the kids' ski group. They had become friends with him, and yesterday he had clapped, when the kids had played the piano. He and his Mom were telling us how they had gone door to door trying to find us. The boy had written a letter to Tammy where he was asking her to play the piano again for him. He handed the letter to Tammy. Then they told us what room they were in.
We finished packing and went downstairs with all our luggage. The boy and his Moms were also packing and about to leave to go back home. We met again in the lobby and Tammy went to the dining room with him to play the piano for him. Then we all went to the room with the fusbal and pool table. Emmy wanted to play with me one last time. The kids also played pool for a short time - or tried to. Then they went to the toddler room and played there. They were having lots of fun. I sat in the lobby as we were waiting for our shuttle, and the boys' Moms were sitting near me so we were talking. We then took a picture of the three kids.
Just before 9:45 am we went outside with our luggage and our shuttle pulled up. They had exchanged phone numbers with the boy and said good-bye. We loaded everything into the van and got in ourselves. As we were pulling away, there was the boy and his Mom, and the kids opened the window one last time to shout good-bye.
It only took about 5 minutes to get to the train station. We had the nice driver who I'd enjoyed riding with. I thanked him again for his service the past few days after we had unloaded at the train station. As Randy is always stressed and worried about time, we got there half an hour before our train was to come, at 9:50 am, and we were the only ones there. We sat down to wait, and the kids were upset when Daddy didn't let them get their tablets out.
At about 10:15 am our train arrived. We thought we were in the right spot but ended up being on the wrong end of the train. We knew the train wasn't going to stay long so we started sprinting to the other end of the train. They were expecting the wheelchair which was a positive as they wouldn't leave without us. In fact, they were unfolding the mechanism that was going to take the wheelchair inside even though we'd said we didn't need it. We rolled Sammy onto the platform that then moved up so Sammy could roll into the train. Then the rest of us got on using the next door, and Randy got our luggage inside. As soon as it was all in, the train left.
We had a 75 minute ride ahead of us. We were in first class where the wheelchair spot it, and there was one other person where we were. The kids got their tablets out to use them during our ride. I was on my phone for a while but then got too tired and closed my eyes for a while.
At 11:37 am we arrived at the main train station in Vienna. They used the elevator again to get Sammy off the train but this time Randy took him out of the chair for some reason. After we had all our stuff, I looked at my phone when and what platform our train home was gonna leave from. Its departure was only a few minutes away so we took the elevator down and then back up at the right platform. The train was way on the other end of the platform so we started sprinting again and just about made the train before it left.
And that's how we were home just after noon. I had placed an order for pizza and chicken wings upon the kids' request, and they arrived around 12:45 pm. We then sat down to eat. After that, I continued unpacking and putting stuff up. Then I had to start preparing for my 2:20 pm student. It was some time after that that Randy took the kids downstairs to play.
I taught for two hours, two different students, and was done just after 4 pm. I had some more work to do to wrap it all up, then I went downstairs for piano practice while Randy left to pick up Sammy's costume that was at a package pickup station. He returned from there before both kids had finished piano practice. Emmy then did his reading practice, and Tammy started but didn't finish. She got upset and quit and finished it before going to bed.
I then went upstairs to make their dinner as they were getting hungry. They were eating while using their tablets, and I made myself some soup to eat. After that, I prepared for my 8 pm student. Just after 7 pm it was bathtub time. They had fun, then got ready for bed. I sat down with them to read them a Bible story, then I prayed for them, and they went to bed while I sat down to teach. I taught until 9 pm, then took some time to relax. Now it's 1 am and time to do the dishes before going to bed.
