HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2358. On Friday the kids were up early, as usual, while I had set my alarm for 9:30 am as I was teaching at 10 am. I taught for an hour, then had another student from 11:30 to 12:30. Then I made a quick chicken soup for everyone. After we had eaten, Tammy and I were getting ready to leave the house. Emmy wanted to come with us as well, so we took him with us.
We walked to the nearest hairdresser where the boys had had their hair cut before. Tammy had three huge knots in their hair that I was not able to undo. It was time to go see the professionals. The place was full but they took us. A lady with pink hair had Tammy sit down on the chair after she had put a big cushion on it and started working on her hair. She was shocked by the knots and tried to open them but was despairing. Another hairdresser then came and gave her tips but he had leave again. Then the boss hairdresser came and helped for a while. Then the pink-haired lady had to go and take care of another customer and Tammy had to sit there and wait for her to return. Emmy and I were sitting on the small step by the window where he did his reading practice with me. We were all getting impatient as we had already been there a while and Tammy was far from being done. Finally the lady returned and continued working on Tammy. In the end, all the knots were out, and she cut a few centimeters off which had been much needed. Then she wet her hair and dried it. Tammy looked very pretty even though her hair was longer than I had envisaged.
It had all taken much longer than expected. I paid and made an appointment for myself. Then we walked back home. We then went downstairs for piano practice, then I sat down at my computer to work. Just before 3:30 pm Randy left with Tammy and Emmy to take them to breakdance as the teacher was making up for a canceled class. Unfortunately the train was delayed by 20 minutes so they got there late. Sammy and I stayed home and had fun. Just after 6 pm I started teaching, just as Randy and the kids returned home. I had already prepared their dinner for them to eat while I was teaching. I was done at 7 pm, then the kids went into the bathtub. After that, Tammy still had to do reading practice, then we read some Bible stories. I prayed for them, then they went to bed, while I sat down to teach my 8 pm student. After I was done at 9 pm, I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After having relaxed a little, I went back to work.
Yesterday the kids were once again up early. I had gone to bed extra late but my alarm went off at 9:30 as we had to leave the house at 10 am. Tammy, Emmy and I took the subway, then the tram, and walked to where you could pick up your rental skates. I had only bought the tickets online in the morning, and having been so tired, I had forgotten that we actually have skates for the kids. And when I went to pick them up, they told me that my tickets were for Sunday not Saturday. I couldn't believe it! One of the workers there then took my tickets to the cash register where they canceled them, gave me the cash, and told me to buy new ones online as they are cheaper that way. That's what I did. Then the kids got their skates and helmets, and we sat down so they could put them on.
Our friends had also arrived and were putting their skates on. Then the Mom and her son and our two kids went on the ice together. Last time my shoes had hurt so bad so quickly that I had decided not to skate this time around. They were in good hands with my friend. And it was a beautiful and unique location, with Town Hall on one side and the main theater on the other, and lots of squaremeters of ice-skating - little paths, even uphill to skate on top. The kids were having lots of fun, even though Emmy seemed to fall a lot. I watched them while they were in the big area at the entrance, then they took the little paths and I saw them there. After that, there was no following them so I sat down on the bench there with my phone and enjoyed the peace and quiet and solitude.
Until my friend called me to find out where I was. I got up and started walking in the direction she told me and saw them standing on the top level looking down at me. They were having lots of fun. They then came back down and went to the big surface right by the entrance where they did a few more rounds. My friend was helping Emmy, while the other two kids were skating together at times. Then Randy and Sammy arrived, and soon they were all done and came off the ice as they were getting hungry. We talked about where to eat - right there they had Austrian food, and then there was McDonald's not far away. The kids all voted for McDonald's even though the adults would have preferred the Austrian food. Oh well.
We returned the skates and helmets and walked to the tram stop. We got on the next tram and rode it for one stop. Then we crossed the street to McDonald's. Unfortunately it's one that's always full and has few tables on the ground floor. We had ordered our food on the app and picked it up while our friends were looking for a table. They found one in the basement. Unfortunately there were lots of stairs that Randy had to overcome with the wheelchair. But it was nice to have enough room for the 8 of us. We enjoyed our food and enjoyed catching up with each other. Then it was time to say good-bye.
We took the subway home. I was really tired but turned my computer on to work. Emmy then decided to do his homework they'd been given during the holiday so he sat down next to me, and I helped him as needed. Once he was done, he went downstairs and joined his siblings there to play. As for me, I could not keep my eyes open any longer and lay down for a nap. About 90 minutes later I woke back up and went downstairs for piano practice and reading practice. Back upstairs, it was time to make their dinner. They sat down to eat, then it was time for the bathtub. As I did not have a 8 pm student this Saturday, we had plenty of time to read Bible stories. I then prayed for them, and they went to bed, while I went to the kitchen to get something to eat.
I was looking forward to sleeping in this morning. The kids were up early, as usual; today I looked and it was 7:15 when Emmy and Tammy got up (Sammy gets up first). As for me, I'd had a restless night not feeling so well. I got up around 11:45 am when the kids came back upstairs and woke me up. I went straight to the kitchen to make lunch, then we sat down to eat. I had diarrhea and cautiously just ate a little. After lunch, I turned my computer on to work. The kids had asked to get pocket money again, so we made a new list of chores to be done every day. I also got two teachings ready to do, as well as the corresponding Bible verses for them to memorize.
At 3 pm I had a student which is unusual as I don't usually have students on Sunday but there was no other way. After I was done at 4 pm, I went downstairs where we did our little family service. I first did a teaching on worship, on kneeling, then a teaching on praying in tongues. And we applied right away what I had taught them, worshipping God while kneeling, then praying in tongues. We had a precious time together. And I gave the kids a paper with the two Bible verses, now that they can already read a lot of the letters of the alphabet. I told them I'd ask them to tell me the first verse before going to bed tonight.
After our little service, it was time for piano practice. Tammy went first, then did her reading practice. Emmy came next and did piano and reading practice. Then I went upstairs to make their dinner. They sat down to eat. At 7 pm it was bathtub time. After that, we had time to read Bible stories as I did not have a student. I prayed for them, and we checked off the new chores on their list - reading, piano, putting clothes up, putting toys up, brushing teeth, Bible verse and no anger fits. Then they went to bed, while I got myself something to eat. After having eaten and enjoying a break, I went back to work. Now it's 12:30 am, and I still have to load the dishwasher.
