HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2353. Once again it was Sammy who was up early, and we went to breakfast early, this time because Emmy was saying how hungry he was. We had a good time eating, then returned to the room where we still had some time, though less than yesterday. At 9:10 am it was time for Tammy and Emmy to put all their skiing gear on, then the three of us went downstairs to the ski room where they put their ski boots on and picked up their skis. When we went outside, the shuttle was already waiting for us, so we got on. Then he drove us down the hill to the bus stop near the ski school. From there we walked to the ski school slope where they met up with their teacher and their group. As I still had time before my shuttle was gonna come to take me back to the hotel, I stayed and watched them go up and down the hill twice. They were doing a great job. They were lucky that the sun was out all day, for the second day in a row. The weather was just beautiful.
At 10:15 my shuttle came to take me back to the hotel. Randy and Sammy spent the whole day in the hotel room which wasn't that much fun for either one of them. It wasn't long before I lay down, closed my eyes and took a nap - thanks to Randy and Sammy being in the other room. At 11:15 my alarm went off, and I got up and got ready to leave. I took the shuttle at 11:30 am and got to the ski school a few minutes later.
I watched them ski down the hill. At 11:45 am the class was over, and quickly went to the bus stop as our ride was coming early for once. Just after noon we were already back at the hotel. They took their skiing gear off, then we all went to the hotel restaurant together. It was quite fancy, and the tables were all beautifully laid. They showed us where to sit. We ordered two soups and two children's schnitzels with fries as well as water. The waiter then brought us two "greetings from the kitchen" - fancy starters that only Randy and Sammy cared to eat. We also got a little bread roll and butter each. It took a while but then the food came all at the same time, and we all shared everything. We even had leftovers to take with us but it was all quite pricey.
Randy and Sammy had discovered that there was room with a pool table and a fusbal table, so we went there to check it out. We then all played together and had lots of fun. Then we returned to our rooms where the kids had a little time left to relax with their tablets.
At 1:30 pm it was time to get dressed again, then the three of us went to the ski room where they put their ski boots on and picked their skis up. The shuttle was already there, so we got right on. A few minutes later we got off at the bus stop by the ski school and walked to the meeting point at the bottom of the slope. Their teacher showed up right after them. I was watching briefly but had an earlier pick-up time than usual so I left to take the shuttle back to the hotel.
Back there, I got my computer out to get some work done which was good, even though sleeping sounded like a very nice alternative. At 3:30 pm I got up and got ready and then took the 3:45 pm shuttle to go back down the hill to pick up the kids. Once again I had the opportunity to watch them ski down the hill their last time for the day. Then they took their skis off, and I carried them for them.
As we still had 15 minutes before the shuttle was going to come, we went to the grocery store to pick up a few items. Then we walked to the shuttle where once again other people were asked to get off so we could get on. A few minutes later we were back at the hotel. Today we'd had the same driver all day long. We put their skiing equipment into the ski room then went to our room where Randy and Sammy were. The kids took a litle time to relax with their tablets, then we put our swimsuits on and went to the pool.
Sammy was very excited and asked me right away whether I was gonna play with him again. And so we role-played stories the whole time we were in the water. At times his siblings also became part of the story. We were having so much fun. Randy was just watching the kids - usually Tammy and Emmy, as I had Sammy. And then I asked him where Emmy was, and Randy didn't know. Then I saw him with a man who had helped him and got him out of the water and put him sitting on the edge. Emmy looked like he was upset and crying. I went to him right away and comforted him. He told me that a girl had held him under water. He had panicked and thought he was going to drown. I asked him to point out what girl it was. I then went up to that girl and confronted her but she just denied it and swam away. In fact, they had played with each other for quite some time, especially Tammy whose friend it was. Emmy wasn't satisfied and wanted to tell the girl's grandma what she had done. He walked up to her and told her. The lady said that Emmy had not returned the girl's ball to her, which is why she had done that, but she agreed that that was not okay and said she'd talk to the girl. We saw her walk to the girl and talk to her. The girl was clearly upset and crying and left the pool with her grandma. We were also done after that and went to the hot showers to warm up and enjoy them, then returned to our room.
It was dinner time but Emmy wanted to go play fusbal again. I told him that it was probably way too crowded at this time but that we were going to check it out, just in case. And so the kids put their clothes on while Randy put pj's on Sammy. Sammy then started crying because he also wanted to come, so I left with the three of them while Randy went into the shower. I told him we'd probably be right back, if not he could join us.
When we got to the room, I was surprised to find it nearly empty and no one playing fusbal. I guess everyone was at dinner. And so we started playing. I had Sammy, holding two handles with him on Emmy's side while Tammy was playing against us. We had lots of fun but then Tammy got upset. Thankfully Randy arrived at that time. He then took Sammy, and it was boys against girls. And Tammy and I lost both games, though it was close. We all had so much fun playing together! We'll definitely do it again tomorrow!
We returned to our room where I made them sandwiches with what we had bought, and everyone ate. Tammy was not allowed to have her tablet but the boys did. And Tammy got upset again, without me knowing what it was about. She ended up putting her feelings into drawings and gave me a riddle so I could figure out why I was upset. But I was not able to interpret her drawing right to figure it out. In the end she told me why, and we talked it out, and everything was fine again.
Just before 8 pm it was story time, and now it was Emmy who was upset. He had lost his 2€ coin I had given him at lunch time today. At the restaurant, after we had eaten, Emmy had given all his money (a few coins) to the waiter as a tip. I was so impressed that I gave him the coin which was more than what he had given away, and he was very happy about it. I told him we'd surely find his coin again as it was in our room somwhere but when he has a fit, it usually gets pretty bad. I couldn't get him to put his pj's on or join us for the story. After I had prayed for them, he was upset about not knowing where he'd have enough room to sleep as the five of us are all in the three single beds put next to each other. His siblings were already asleep when Emmy was still upset and wondering where to sleep but then he finally found a spot and fell asleep. Randy was on one end of the bed, with his phone, while I was on the other end, with my computer. It was time to download today's pictures and pick the best and edit them. Now it's 11:30 pm, and I hope to go to bed by midnight again. Tomorrow is our third and last day here, and the kids have a skiing race in the morning.
