Day 2390. Yesterday my third alarm went off at 9:30 am, and I got up to get ready to teach at 10 am. I taught until 11 am, and my 11:30 am student had canceled and moved the lesson to the next day. I warmed up the soup I had made for us to eat. Just before 1 pm Randy left the house to pick up Sammy and take him to his horse riding therapy. It was a beautiful, warm day so he had fun riding outside - with a short-sleeved shirt.

Tammy and Emmy have an additional hour of school on Wednesday as the teacher has them in a small group of children that get that extra attention. That means they get out of school at 2:40 pm. I left the house at 2 pm and made a quick run into the supermarket right by their school. However, there was an issue that delayed me. When I got to their school a few minutes late, they were not waiting at the door any more. I rang the bell, and their teacher came to the door and opened it for me. She told me that Tammy had accidentally been hurt by another kid and had had an icepack on her head as a result. I then talked to her about next week when we're leaving town for the missions conference. I had to ask for permission for them to skip school for two days and told her she could tell us what pages in the books they can do by themselves.

Tammy and Emmy then arrived, and we left and took two buses to get home. Randy and Sammy were already back when we arrived. I was shocked that it was already 3:40 pm as that was the time I had to start teaching, so I sat down at my computer right away. I finished at 4:30 pm and went downstairs to do piano practice with them. Then I went upstairs to quickly make their sandwiches as they had to leave and catch the 5:05 pm train. It was their very last swim class as we had not signed them up for the continuation of the class since I hadn't been very happy about the way this class has gone.

Sammy and I left the house just before 5:30 pm to go pick up some leftover bread for a third of the price. The lady at that bakery really likes Sammy and was very excited to see him again. She said that she hadn't him for so many weeks. She then even let him choose the pastries he wanted.

Back home I cut up fruit for the kids and put it on the table for the kids. At 6:40 pm I started teaching, just a few minutes before Randy got home with the kids. I was done at 7:30 pm, then the kids went into the bathtub. As I didn't have a 8 pm student, we were not under the time pressure we're usually under. After they got out, they did reading practice, then we still did a story. That way it was after 8:30 pm before they went to bed. I then went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat, then sat down and took a break before going back to work.

This morning my third alarm went off even earlier than yesterday, at 9 am, as I started teaching at 9:30 am. I finished at 10:30 am, then had another student from 11 to noon. I then warmed up some food to eat. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up the kids while I left 20 minutes later. When I got to the subway, it was sitting there and not moving. It took me way longer than usual to get to Sammy's school because of the issues the subway was having. That way it was already 2 pm by the time we were back home, and time was rather short for me to get ready for my 2:20 pm student. At that time I started teaching, and a few minutes later Randy returned home with the other kids. They then went downstairs to play.

By 3:10 pm I was done and went to the kitchen to make their sandwiches. Then I went downstairs to do piano practice with them. Once we were done, we went upstairs together to leave the house which we did just after 4 pm.  Randy and Sammy left a little later to go to Sammy's wheelchair class where has lots of fun.

The three of us took the train and then the tram, then walked to the school where they have their exercise class. They got changed and went into the gym for the first of five sessions of Volleyball. I stayed in the locker room and read the paper for a long time then got so tired I had to close my eyes. At 5:45 pm the class was over, and thankfully they were among the first ones to come out as they knew we had to be quick. They got dressed, and we walked back to the tram stop. We didn't have to wait long, and that way we were able to catch the 6:01 pm train home which I was really thankfully for. One of the kids had done their reading practice on the way to the class, the other one did it on the way home.

Once home, I started cutting up fruit for them while they sat down to watch another true missionary story. After a few minutes Sammy also returned home and joined them. They were then all eating, while I cut up vegetables for my salad which takes time.

At 7 pm it was bathtub time. My 8 pm student had canceled, so once again we were not under time pressure. After the bathtub, we sat down to read a story, then I prayed for them and they went to bed, while I sat down to eat and take a break. Now it's after 1 am, and I still have to take care of the dishes.
