Day 2383. On Tuesday I had no commitments in the morning so I enjoyed being able to go back to bed after Randy had taken the kids to school I got up eventually and warmed up leftover food for us to eat for lunch. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy, while I had to leave about fifteen minutes later to pick up Sammy. I told Emmy he could stay home by himself for the 20 minutes or so I would be gone but he didn't want that so he came with me to pick up Sammy.

Back home, I did piano practice with Emmy, then with Tammy once she got home at 2:30 pm. We also had to do reading practice. At 3:45 pm Randy left with Tammy to take her to her dance classes from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. As for me, I had one student from 5 to 6 pm. I had made their sandwiches before and cut up their fruit after. I was very impressed that Emmy had succeeded in doing all the school work he had missed in the morning. Tammy had brought his school books home with her, with markings of what he needed to do.

At 7 pm Randy and Tammy returned home. She ate, then a quick bathtub rince and prayer time. At 8 pm I sat down to teach while they went to bed. After I was done teaching at 9 pm, I got myself something to eat and took a break before going back to work.

Wednesday

Emmy was sick and stayed home, on his tablet, while I taught from 10 to 11 and 11:30 to 12:30 pm. Then I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Sammy and take him to his horse riding therapy. Emmy and I left at 2 pm to take two buses to Tammy's school. She was already at the door when we got there just before 2:40 pm. I told their teacher that Emmy would be back in class the next day. Then we walked to the bus stop and made a quick trip into the supermarket before taking the next bus that took us to the second bus that took us home. By 3:35 pm we were back home. Randy and Sammy had already returned from horse riding therapy.

Because of Emmy being sick, I expected him to stay home from swimming class so I had scheduled a second student for the time Tammy would be gone as the boys had each other to keep each other company. However, Tammy did not want to go to swim class by herself. She had a fit and said she would not go, so she stayed home as well. That way Randy was home with them while I was teaching from about 5 to 7:30 pm. I made their sandwiches and cut up their fruit before and in between students so they could eat while I was teaching.

It was already very late by the time I was done at 7:30, and I had to prepare for my 8:10 pm student. So it was a quick shower and quick prayer, then they went to bed while I sat down to teach. After I was done at 9 pm, I got myself something to eat and took a break before going back to work.

Thursday

This morning Emmy was supposed to go back to school. However, he was crying and saying his belly was hurting so much and that he didn't want to go to school. There was nothing we could do. He stayed home but he didn't get his tablet to be on it all morning. As for me, I went back to bed when Randy left with Tammy to take her to school. Emmy woke me up a few times and at 9 am my alarm already went off. I had to get up and get ready to teach at 9:30 am. I taught until 10:30 am, then again from 11 to noon. I hadn't eaten anything so I was really hungry. I went to the kitchen to warm up or make food for the three of us.

We ate, then Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy, while Emmy and I left 15 minutes later to pick up Sammy. Emmy was in a good mood because his soccer world cup sticker book had arrived that he had been waiting for for so long, and he already had three cards (not stickers) as he had received one right away and had earned two more for already having done piano and reading practice.

Sammy was once again very excited to see his brother pick him up with me. I had offered Emmy to stay home for the 20 minutes or so I was gone to get Sammy but he didn't want to stay home by himself. Tammy would have jumped at the opportunity.

By 1:45 pm we were back home, and I had to get ready for my 2:20 pm student. Randy and Tammy returned at 2:30 pm, and they all went downstairs to play. I was done at 3:10 pm, and Tammy immediately heckled me for her sticker album, a unicorn one, so I gave it to her. Then she also wanted to do piano practice and read to get her stickers, and she did. We'll see how long this eagerness lasts.

I then made their sandwiches, and just after 4 pm we left, now that all the trains run again, thank God. Randy and Sammy left a little later to go to his wheelchair class. Today he had to try to surmount some obstacles and had fun. As for the three of us, we took the 4:20 pm train and then the tram and got to the school just before their exercise class was to start. They changed and went inside with their stickerbooks and water bottle. I stayed in the locker room for the whole 55 minutes their class lasted. It was the fifth and last class on athletics.

I was very tired but was on my phone and read the paper for most of the time. It was later than usual when they came back from their class, and that was not good as we had to get to the bakery before it closed at 6 pm. We quickly left and walked to the tram, then took the tram for a few stops. When we got off, we still had to cross the street to the bakery. However, it was 6 pm when we got off the tram, so the time the bakery was closing. We were lucky. The bakery wasn't locked up yet. We walked inside, and the kids climbed on the ledge where you can put your bags. The lady was upset and called them out for it, asking them to keep away from the glass. The kids then apologized so politely and were so polite, nice and friendly after that, that I could tell she was impressed, and she let them choose which pastries they wanted which is unheard of. We actually got exactly what we wanted in all three categories - sandwich, pastries and bread. Then we said good-bye and walked back to the tram.

With the trains running again, we could have made the 6:01 pm train if it hadn't been for our bakery stop. The next train was at 6:18 pm. When we rode up the escalator to the platform, I couldn't believe that the train was just arriving. It was late which meant that we were actually able to catch it instead of having to wait for the next train. What a blessing!

By 6:20 pm we were back home which was nice. Tammy had brought Emmy schoolbooks home again so that he could do what he had missed in school but it was too much and there was too little time. Still, he did a few pages until I was done cutting up their fruit and gave it to them to eat. About half an hour after we had gotten home, Randy and Sammy also got home, and Sammy started eating his food. As for me, I was preparing for my 8 pm student.

Just after 7 pm it was bathtub time, followed by story and prayer time. When I sat down to teach, Tammy and Emmy both lay down in my bed at first but that never works out for them to be togther. In the end they both left and went to their own beds tonight.

I taught until 9 pm, then got myself something to eat and took a break before returning to work.
