Day 2175. It was a rough night last night. First Sammy constantly woke up and cried and Randy ended up lying down next to him, then Tammy was crying for the longest time because of growing pains in her legs. Then Emmy also wanted to come to our bed, where Tammy was already waiting for me, and I hurried up to get done and lie down between them in bed. Later Randy returned so we had to squeeze together again.
When my alarm went off at 9 am this morning, I was very tired. Tammy was still next to me while everyone else was up. I got up and got ready for my 10 am student and had something to eat. I then taught until 11:15 am. Tammy was doing some painting in the meantime, and Emmy had gone down to the lake with our friend where they played soccer. I continued teaching until it was time for lunch.
We had hotdogs, then it was time to rest. At 2:30 pm I lay down for a nap, as did Randy and Sammy. I got up after 90 minutes, while Randy and Sammy slept for two hours. I then did piano practice with Tammy and Emmy, and then Sammy also got to play the piano.
It was getting late, and everyone was getting hungry. Our friend was cooking dinner. Tammy was helping in the household, laying the table, baking a cake and folding towels. Sammy and I sat down on the porch where the table was set for us, and together we commiserated how hungry we were. We were very happy when the food finally came out. We all enjoyed our meat, potatoes, peas and carrots.
After dinner, we all went down to the lake for a boat ride. Once again the kids all got to steer the boat. Emmy was the wildest last time but promised me he'd drive slowly without steep curves, and he did. He did it just for me which was sweet of him. Tammy was too wild for me. We all enjoyed the boat ride while the sun was slowly setting.
Back on dry ground, Tammy went into the water before everyone was on land. And she had the greatest time, all by herself in the water. I sat down on a chair to watch her. Emmy started playing soccer with our friend. Sammy was with me at first and then sat with Daddy. After Emmy was done playing, he also went into the water where they were both having fun together. Sammy was getting tired but got to play ball with our friend for a while.
We were hoping to see the special moon tonight but clouds were moving in so that it was not possible, so we finally returned to the house. It was going on 9 pm which is their bed time in this time zone. They showered, then got ready for bed, then I read them a bedtime story and prayed for them. They went to bed, while I sat down at the computer to start working on the pictures and the report. Sammy has had a hard time sleeping again tonight so I put him next to Randy in our bed. And Emmy is already in our bed as well so I'll have to see where I sleep. I hope I sleep well, and this night is also going to be an hour shorter.
