Day 2335. Last Wednesday I had been a part of the kids' "new letter day" as one of two parents, this week it was Randy's turn. That meant he stayed at school with Tammy and Emmy after taking him there. That also meant that I had to get up and take Sammy to school; he has to be there at 8:30 am. Once back home, I was going to lie back down but ended up working instead, then cooking lunch. From 11:30 to 12:30 pm I had a student. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy and Emmy, and just  before 1:30 pm I left to pick up Sammy as he didn't have horse therapy this week.

At 2:30 pm Randy and the other kids came home, and we went downstairs for piano practice, then did reading practice. Just after 4:30 pm Randy left with them to take them to their swim class. However, we had forgotten that starting this week the S-train is not running at all, all the way until the end of February. And so there was no S-train, and they had to take the regular train just after 5 pm. Somehow they still made it to their swim class at 5:30 pm on time. It lasts half an hour, then they walk to the tram followed by taking the train home. Unfortunately they also got home later because the train was not  running. I had to start teaching at 6:40 pm, even though they only got home just after 7 pm. Thankfully Sammy was fine occupying himself.

Their fruit was ready for the kids, when they got home; they had already eaten their sandwiches on the way home. When I was done teaching at 7:30 pm, it was bathtub time, then I quickly prayed for them and sat down to teach at 8 pm. They got ready for bed and went to bed.

On Thursday I didn't have much time to sleep after all the kids had left as I had to get up at 9 am to teach at 9:30 am. I taught until 10:30 am, then had my next student at 10:45 am. At noon I was done and got something to eat. At 1:30 pm I picked up Sammy from school and took him home. I didn't have much time as I started teaching again at 2:15 pm, then I had no break, starting my next student at 3:05 pm. It was the only way to be done in time to make the 4:05 pm train, which is the train before the one we usually take as it wasn't running. As soon as I was done teaching at 3:55 pm, I put my shoes and coats on, and we walked out of the door. Thankfully Tammy and Emmy were already ready to go.

We took the 4:05 pm train and then the tram and got to the school 15 minutes earlier than usual. We finished reading practice, then they started playing with other kids from their group that were arriving. At 4:50 pm their exercise class started. It was the fourth of five tennis sessions. They played lots of games with their rackets and balls and had lots of fun. As for me, I sat in the locker room and was on my phone until I got so tired that I had to close my eyes.

At 5:45 pm their class was over. They changed, and we left and walked back to the tram that we took to the train station. Unfortunately our usual 6:01 pm train wasn't running so we had to wait for the 6:18 pm train. We went to the subway platform where it was warmer than outside, then went back up to catch the train. Some time after 6:30 pm we were back home. Randy and Sammy returned home just a few minutes later from Sammy's wheelchair class. I was cutting up fruit for the kids to eat, then sat down to prepare for my 8 pm student while they were eating. A few minutes later we went downstairs for piano practice, then it was bathtub time. After that I prayed for them and sat down to teach while they were getting ready to go to bed. After I was done teaching at 9 pm, I got myself something to eat and a break before going back to work. And by the way, Tammy lost her first tooth on top at school in the morning.

This morning I lay back down after everyone had left, then my alarm woke me at 9:30 am as I started teaching at 10 am. I taught until 11 am and then from 11:30 to 12:30. Randy had already left at noon to go pick up Tammy and Emmy and take them to tennis and then to their breakdance class. I left the house after teaching to go pick up Sammy from school. By 1 pm we were back home. I finally got a chance to have lunch and wrap up my lesson, then I tried to get some rest but that's hardly possible with Sammy constantly needing something. I finally gave up and went downstairs with him as he wanted to play with me. First we played hide-and-seek, then he got his Mickey memory game out. I told him I'd show him how to actually play the game, and it worked out really well. He didn't even mind losing.

Then we got on the floor together and played there for a while. Then Sammy was getting hungry, and we decided to go back upstairs. For the second time ever I had him walk up the stairs. I put his left hand on the ballustrade and stood behind him, holding his other hand, and he'd put on the next step up and then pull himself up. That way he was able to go up the stairs quite easily.

Back upstairs I gave him his sandwich, then sat down to prepare for my 6 pm student. Normally I'm the one taking the other kids to breakdance but because of the many trains not running we decided it was smarter for Sammy to stay home. I'd always get home just after 5:30 pm with Tammy and Emmy. Today, the 5:18 pm train was delayed by 20 minutes. With their return approaching, I cut up fruit for everyone and put it on the table and gave his to Sammy. Just before 6 pm Randy and the kids finally got home. I then sat down to teach, while they started eating their fruit.

At 6:50 pm I was done teaching, and we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs, it was bathtub time, then I prayed for them and sat down to teach while they were getting ready for bed. Not riding on public transportation with them had meant not finding the time to do their reading practice today. I taught until 9 pm, then got myself something to eat.
