Day 1564. Wednesday was Saint Nicolas day, and so the kids were eager to open the apartment door to see what Saint Nicolas put into their shoes during the night. And so they were already up at 6:30 am. I went to the door with them and unlocked it. I wished I had recorded their reaction, when they opened the door! Emmy is the most expressive. 

Day 1562. Sammy was up first, and Randy was up before my alarm went off at 7:15 am. Tammy was asleep to my left and Emmy to my right, and even when the alarm went off and I quickly cut it off, they continued sleeping. After a while Tammy woke up first, then Emmy, and soon they were all up and asking to open their advent calendars.

Day 1561. Thanks to the advent calendars, I don't get to stay in bed longer in the morning any more, but I have to get up and help them open then, then read the story from the story book calendar to them. After that, I made Sammy's snack box, while the kids had breakfast with Daddy. At 8:15 (or later) Randy leaves with Sammy to take him to kindergarten.
