Day 1217. Last night I went to bed later than I have been in a long time. It was 3:30, but of course some kid needed something, and so it was really 4 am in the end. You can imagine how tired I was this morning. Emmy came to me, as usual, and then they wanted to watch Kasperl, even though it was already about 9 am.
Day 1216. Even though I knew that I needed the time, I did not set an alarm, as I've been going to bed at 2:30. It was again about 8:45, when I looked at the clock. The kids were eager to open the last door on the advent calendars. Then we sat down for breakfast. After breakfast we put their Christmas pj's on, as it's the 24th that we celebrate Christmas in Austria.
Day 1215. This morning I did set an alarm as I had a 10 am lesson. Emmy slept a long time in his bed after bedtime, unusually long, and joined me in bed at some point during the night. At 8:45 my alarm went off, but he was already up, of course. They got the advent calendars and carried them to our bed, while Randy was making his and their oatmeal.
