Sammy was having a hard time, and Daddy knows exactly how to make him smile and laugh. I had Emmy, who also had a hard time, but needed to set him down for a moment to do something. As he would have cried if I had put him into the crib, I asked Daddy to hold him for a moment. We don't hold two at once any more very often.

Not much to say today. I read that at six months old (which they'll be in a couple of days) certain toys are good for them to develop their motor skills, so we got some of those out, and need to get some more. It's still a little hard for them, but it won't be long. Tammy is already doing pretty good with them.

In 10 days they're gonna start eating a third meal every day, and then they are supposed to drink water in addition to eating their meals. So today I put a sippy cup into Tammy's hands for the first time. I guess it will take some practice for them to use it. She was just chewing around on it.
