Day 2509. Sammy was up at 4:30 am this morning but Randy got him to fall back asleep for a while before he got up for good at 6:30 am. Tammy and Emmy both slept until 8 am, as did I. Tammy had actually slept 14 hours. I was glad they had done so well adjusting to our new time zone. We all got up and went to the kitchen to have breakfast. One of the grandparents had come with a rented Tesla truck, and he gave Randy and Emmy a ride which was extremely cool.
One of the family's daughter was going to a two-hour tennis session, and Emmy wanted to go as well and was very excited when we allowed him to go. He had lots of fun there even though it was very hot. Tammy and Sammy stayed home and played there with the dog and some of the toys the family has, while I was doing office work. After they had returned from their tennis session, we soon had lunch together. And the kids all enjoyed playing with the children of the house.
At 2 pm we left to go to the pool again where we had fun. From there we went to Walmart - our first time going to the grocery store. We just needed a few items and enjoyed the trip. By 4:30 pm we were back at the house. Tammy wanted to play chess with me, so I taught her how to play, and we had a good time together.
Just after 5 pm the family's pastor and his wife arrived for dinner. We had a great time getting to know each other, and I'm hopeful that a new connection was made. They had to leave at 6:30 pm. All the kids then started having fun throwing water bombs and getting completely wet. They had to get changed after that, and Emmy asked me to play chess with him, so I did, and we had a good time together. Tammy was playing with the girls, and then Emmy also joined them. It was after 8:30 pm before we told them it was time to go to bed. Tammy and Sammy fell asleep right away; Emmy only went to bed at 9:15 pm. I then got my computer out tow work on the pictures and write my report, even though I was also very tired. Now it's nearly midnight and time for me to go to bed as well.
