HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2521. Sammy was up first this morning, as usual, an hour before we needed to get up. Randy then got up as well, and soon Emmy was also up. The three of them then went to breakfast while Tammy and I stayed in bed. My alarm went off at 8 am, then we also got up. We went to breakfast together, then returned to our room. I then grabbed my computer and headed to the business center to teach again while Randy and the kids stayed in the room. I taught from 9 until 10 am, then returned to the room to pack. Randy loaded up the car, and off we went again, just after 10:30 am.
We drove for over two hours before stopping to use the bathroom and buy some snacks. There were fires nearby but we made it by them without any problems. By 2:45 pm we had reached the hotel in northern Colorado Springs. We checked in and went to our room, then Randy brought our luggage up from the car. We had about half an hour in the room before leaving again at 4 pm.
We drove just over 20 minutes to our friends' house. We hadn't seen them in three years and they had moved two years ago so it was our first time there. Their kids were playing in the garden, and our kids joined them. They also had a snake that Tammy wanted to pet so they got it out. Emmy stayed away at first but then also touched it. Tammy loves animals like that and had fun. They also had a piano so I got the kids to play their pieces so they don't forget them; they had already forgotten part of it.
They were getting dinner ready and had chicken on the barbecue. We greatly enjoyed the fellowship with the family, talking and catching up. They had seven children, so there was lots of action, and our kids fit right in. They had lots of fun. And they were getting hungry as time went on. However, they still didn't eat much. They were ready to continue playing.
Sammy was quite tired while we were there, and when 9 pm was approaching, it was really time to get going. We said our good-byes and waved to them as we drove off. By 9 pm we were back at the hotel, and the kids got ready for bed right away. It was 9:30 before they were slowly falling asleep. I could have slept with them, as tired as I was, but I pushed through and turned my computer on to work on today's pictures and other stuff. Now it's another short night ahead of me.
