HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2523. It was the first night where I didn't have to get up in the morning in a long time. Of course the kids were loud and kept waking me up, but I was still able to stay in bed much longer. At 9 am I got up and had breakfast.
At 10:30 am we got into the car and drove half an hour to a sports club where we were able to get guest tickets to go in for free. It was huge and had lots of facitilites including an outside pool and slides and inside pool and slides which is what we had come for. We got some beds where we put our stuff, then we walked to see the lifeguard as Tammy and Emmy were only allowed to go down the slides if they passed a swim test first. They had to be able to swim the full length of the pool. Emmy was upset as he can't swim properly and didn't want to do it. Tammy had no problem to pass the test as she swims well. Emmy then agreed to give it a try. While he doesn't swim properly, he was still able to swim the full length of the pool and was very proud of his accomplishment. He was also very happy to be able to go down the slides. Both of them went down quite a few times. They also played with their niece and nephews.
As for me, I spent the whole three hours we were there swimming with Sammy. He likes playing in the pool with me - being chased by me, or playing we're going places on public transportation. He also likes doing somersaults in the water that I help him with. He had lots of fun.
After a while outside, Emmy was shivering as the water was a bit cold though not as much as the one at the one hotel had been. We then all went to the inside pool that was much warmer and had fun there. Emmy was playing ball with his nephews. When the kids were hungry, we bought some food there that we ate.
It was 2:30 pm by the time we left to drive back to the house. The boys have been in dire need of a haircut but we don't have a haircutting machine with us so we stopped at a hair salon on the way but they weren't taking any walk-ins as they were too busy so we made our way back to the house where we arrived at 3:15 pm. I was so tired that I lay down and fell asleep - though being woken up frequently by the noise the kids were making.
The kids were having fun with their niece and nephews, and Sammy loves the dog. Randy cleaned out the car as we're flying out of here the day after tomorrow and need to pack properly for that. I started doing so when I was called to dinner. It was once again wonderful to eat a homecooked meal, and we enjoyed the fellowship as well.
After dinner, they gave us their hair cutting machine they have for their dog so I could finally trim their hair. Sammy had been asking for his hair to be cut all day but he was tired and started crying. He didn't want me to cut it but I did anyway. Thank God! Then it was Emmy's turn. They look so much better now.
8 pm came around fast, and they were sad that it was time to go to bed but they have one more day of fun with family tomorrow. There was some drama at bedtime, and fighting over who gets to sleep in our bed, so it was after 8:30 pm before they fell asleep. Now it's nearly midnight, and I hope to get to bed soon as well. Tomorrow night we have to leave at 2 am to drive to the airport.
