HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2535. This morning the kids were up early again and not letting me sleep. Eventually they went outside which meant I finally got some sleep. They then woke me up for good when they came to tell me that we were going to the beach right there and then, before the bad weather was supposed to arrive. I had breakfast and put my bathing suit on while the kids also got ready.
At 11 am we drove off with our friend in the back to start the 50 minute trip to the ocean. Once we had parked right by the beach, our friend went to get a beach wheelchair that we could put Sammy into. Then we walked down to the beach. It was fine, white sand, just beautiful. The kids went straight into the water. The flags were on yellow, and the waves were quite high. I got Sammy and went into the water with him. At first we sat in the shallow water and let the waves crash on me. Sammy was having fun, laughing all the time, but it was quite challenging to stay seated with the waves crashing onto us. I finally took Sammy to go deeper into the water with him. There it was much easier to hold him and go up and down with the waves, and he was having fun. So were the other kids. I stayed in the water with them the whole time. After a while, Sammy went outside where he played with the sand for a short time before coming back into the water, so I had the other two kids and had fun with them.
We had been in the water for a long time when we got out. Our friend wanted to go on the pier with us so we walked up there. We had a great view of the beach. Some people were fishing up there, and someone told us that one of them had caught a baby shark so the kids went up to the man who ended up showing them a picture of himself with the shark. He had thrown it back into the water.
From there we walked back to the parking lot and went to the changing rooms before piling back into the car to go home. It was already 2 pm, and the kids were hungry. We also had a few things we still needed to pick up from the grocery store, and our friend also had a shopping list. So we put Walmart into the GPS which was about half an hour away. Wendy's was right there as well so I placed an order for some food. Once we got there, I went inside to pick it up. Back at the car, I noticed that one of the items was missing so I had to get back in to get it. Then there were no straws so Randy went inside to get them. Then we drove across the street to go to Walmart. Randy and our friend went inside while the kids and I stayed in the car and ate our food. It took them 45 minutes to get done. Thankfully the kids had their tablets to keep them busy.
It was 4 pm by the time we were back at the house. We were all pretty tired, especially the adults, but Sammy wanted to go into the pool so I finally gave in and went into the pool with him. A few minutes later Tammy and Emmy also joined us, and we all had fun together. We stayed quite some time but at one point I could not go on. Randy had stayed in the trailer to eat lunch but I went to get him to help me carry Sammy back to the trailer. We then all went inside. The kids got on their tablets while I lay down and had a much-needed nap.
I was woken up when our friends called us to come to dinner. We all walked over to their house where they had prepared burgers for everyone. I put them together for everyone in our family, then we had a good time eating and talking. There were also two of their friends that were eating with us. When 8 pm came around, and Sammy looked like he was going to fall asleep, it was time to get going. We said good-night and walked back to our trailer.
Back inside we had icecream, then it was time for them to get ready for bed. They were still awake for a while before finally falling asleep around 9 pm. I turned my computer on to work on the pictures and my report. Now it's 1 am and time for bed.
