Day 2530. I went to bed at 2 am, and at 8:30 my alarm went off. The kids were already up before that. We got up and went to the breakfast room to have breakfast. I then discovered that one of my students wanted a lesson. After I was done eating, I returned to the room and taught from 9:30 to 10:30. The kids were on their tablets which gave me the silence I needed to teach.
After I was done teaching, we finished packing, and Randy loaded up the car. Emmy then saw this unique-looking vehicle so we went over there to have a look at it.
It was just after 11 am when we drove off to continue our journey south. We had a bathroom/gas break after about 2 hours, then continued driving. The kids were on their tablets, and we also called a few people which is what especially Sammy likes. At 3 pm we pulled up at our friends' house in Augusta, GA.
It was great seeing my friends of 20 years again. We sat down to chat and had a good time. The kids enjoyed interacting with their dog. Emmy was eager to go outside and play soccer with the Dad but it took a while before they finally did. Tammy was drawing and helping the Mom in the household.
At 5 pm I went to our room and turned my computer on. I was able to connect with Paul and talk to him before we started our meeting with our board member at 5:20 pm. We ended up talking for 90 minutes and had a great time too. She had great input which got both Paul and me excited. Let's hope these things can be made a reality.
When I left the room after the meeting, I found everyone at the table having dinner and joined them. We had a good time of fellowship. After dinner, the kids continued playing. Just before 9 pm, it was time for a shower, then they went to bed. They wanted me to stay so I stayed until they were asleep, then I went outside to talk to my friend for a while. It was nearly 11 pm before I returned to start working on the pictures and my report. Randy had already gone to bed. Now it's after midnight, and I'm hoping for a longer night tonight.
