HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2531. I went to bed at 1:30 am and was glad that I had no morning commitments. Sammy was up early, then the other kids but they left so I could continue sleeping. I took my time getting up, then went to the living room. The kids had already been to the lake and had played in the sand. I got myself something to eat and then got their school books out. Emmy is more behind than Tammy who is about where she should be now that half the summer break is over. They both did school work, and I helped them where needed.
We didn't actually have lunch but everyone had a sandwich once they got hungry. Tammy and Emmy went outside with the Dad to play soccer at some point. Later I also did piano practice with Tammy and Emmy, and they played with our friends. I enjoyed the quieter day without commitments and the time to catch up on office work.
Just before 7 pm we sat down to eat dinner - my first stay since coming to the US 24 days ago. It was absolutely delicious! We all enjoyed the food as well as the fellowship. After we were done eating, it was time for the boat ride. Sammy had been asking for it all day long. The lake's water level was extremely lower, lower than I've seen in the 20 years I've come here. I sat in the front of the boat with Emmy while Tammy started off in the back and then joined us. We enjoyed the boat ride very much. Later all three kids got to steer the boat for a few minutes each and had fun doing so.
Back at the house they had some fruit, then it was time to get ready for bed, 9 pm being their bed time in this time zone. It was the first time we actually read a story, and we had fun. I prayed for them, and they went to bed. Emmy crawled into our bed right away. I stayed with them until they fell asleep, then went outside to get a little time with our friends. Later I returned to our room to work on the pictures and the report. Now it's after 1 am, and I hope to go to bed soon.
