Day 2534. After 5.5 hours my alarm went off at 8 am this morning. Of course everyone was already up by that time. I packed our suitcases before sitting down to have breakfast. When I left our room, I found Tammy playing a game with the Mom of the house. Sammy was playing with the dog. Randy started loading up the car with the suitcases. After I had eaten, it was time to say good-bye to our friends. The kids were very sad. Our friends came to the car with us and waved us good-bye.
We left perfectly on time just after 9:30 am and drove the 2+ hours to Atlanta where we were meeting up with Randy's oldest daughter on her lunch break. We arrived perfectly on time at noon; Randy's daughter came right up to us, and together we went into the BBQ place. We got a table and picked our food, then we were free to talk. We had a good time talking, and once the food came, it was really good.
After about 80 minutes, it was time to move on. We said good-bye and continued our journey south, to Florida. We still had exactly 5 hours of driving ahead of us. We stopped a few times for bathroom breaks and 25 minutes before arrival at the last little grocery store. I went inside by myself and only found half the items we had on our list but it was enough for tonight and for the morning. Then we drove the rest of the way. By 6:45 we arrived at our friends' house.
We have stayed with them before, in their trailer, and the kids were looking forward to the visit. Sammy was impatient to go into the pool. Randy unloaded the car while I put everything where it needed to go and then put the swim suits on Sammy and myself. Tammy had been talking about going fishing all day, and our friend agreed to take them fishing to the pier. Sammy and I went to the pool and had lots of fun in the water. Randy went with the fishing kids and took pictures there. Unfortunately they didn't catch anything.
We were enjoying the sunset in the pool. Eventually I called Randy over because it was time to get out, and Sammy is too heavy to carry for me now. The other kids came as well and were crying when I said it was too late for them to go into the water at that point.We went to the trailer where I warmed up leftovers that we ate. Then it was time for bed. All three lay down in the big bed next to each other, and I prayed for them before they went to sleep. It was already really late for them. I then turned my computer on to work on the pictures and the report. Now it's going on 1 am local time which is 2 am where we left this morning, and I'm very tired.
