Day 2305. This week has been a little different. With events on Friday morning and a dentist appointment on Thursday, I had to move my students to the first half of the week. That meant that I had to teach from 9:30 to 12:30 am on Monday morning. Thankfully we had leftovers to eat for lunch. At 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I picked up Sammy at 1:30 pm. Back home, I had to prepare for my 2:30 pm student. That's also the time Randy returns home with the other kids.

I finished teaching at 3:20 pm, then made the kids' sandwiches. At 3:50 pm I left the house with Tammy and Emmy. We had two subways to ride, and the kids did their reading practice on the way. Then we walked to the premises of their programming club. We got there early, as usual, and I left them there and walked to the nearby McDonald's to teach. I found a table in a corner where the music wasn't as loud and ordered. At 4:45 pm I started teaching. After I had finished and wrapped up, I packed up again and left to walk back to their club.

I got there 10 minutes before the class ended and walked in to see what the had done. It was the second week doing electric circuits, and this time they had made one where they could flip a switch and make this wheel spin and fly off. Emmy showed me also the board where they had drawn what conducts electricity and what doesn't. They then took it all apart again and back into the box, and we left.

On the way home they ate their sandwiches. On the first subway we were together with another girl from the class, their friend, and I enjoy talking to the mother who is also married to an American. Back home, I cut up their fruit for them to eat, then sat down to prepare for my 8 pm student, then we went downstairs for piano practice. After the bathtub, we did all the advent calendar stuff, I prayed for them, and they went to bed while I sat down to teach.

Thank God I had no commitments on Tuesday morning as I needed to catch up on sleep bad - after having got the kids ready for school. I did set my alarm for 11 am as I had to cook. At 1:30 pm I picked up Sammy from school, and at 2:30 pm Randy got home with the other two. I wanted to do piano practice with one of them, but it never came to that. They had to put on black clothes, and at 3 pm we left to go back to their school for their Christmas Celebration. That meant they had to miss their soccer and ballet classes respectively.

We took two buses and walked to their school where we arrived before the celebration started at 4 pm. There were already quite a lot of parents there. Every parent had had to bring some stuff to contribute to the buffet. We dropped it off, then tried to find out whether there was an elevator for Sammy to use to go downstairs to the gym, but there wasn't. After a few minutes, people started moving down the stairs to the gym where everything had been set up for the celebration. I tried to be fast to get good seats and got three seats in the first row, to the side, for Randy, Sammy and myself.

After a few minutes the seats had all been filled, and the kids sat down on the floor, along lines. Tammy and Emmy were next to each other in the first row in the middle. When everyone was ready, they dimmed the lights and it started. They started by playing a song, then the school director spoke. Then they did songs and speaking, kids from the higher kids reading. The first graders did all but one song together with the other grades. Towards the end, it was time for their dance they had learned with their teacher. The song was "Feliz Navidad". They sang it and danced, with their teacher sitting on the ground in front of them showing them the moves. They did a great job.

After the director had spoken again, the progam was over. It was time to go upstairs to the buffet. Sammy was hungry, so we were trying to go up there quickly. The room was rather small, where the buffet was, with four grades plus teachers plus parents trying to get in there but we all got some food. After a while we decided to get going. I had a student I needed to teach and told her I could start at 6:10 pm.

Just before 6 pm we were back home; thankfully they had all eaten so there was no more food for me to make. I taught until 7 pm, then we went downstairs for piano practice. After a quick shower and advent calendars, I prayed for them, and they went to bed while I sat down to teach at 8 pm.

This morning was like Monday; I taught from 9:30 to 12:30 pm, then ate some leftovers.  Randy left before 1 pm to pick up Sammy and take him to horse therapy. There was a circus right next to the horse-riding place so that there were camels grazing there that Sammy got to watch as they were there early.

As for me, I left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy. As the bus only runs every 15 minutes and I get there 15 minutes early, I always go to the supermarket there and buy some stuff. It's my only chance to go to a grocery store. Then I walked over to the school where you have to wait outside in the cold until all the kids come out after school ends at 1:50 pm. Emmy came out pretty quickly but I had to wait a while for Tammy. Then we walked to the bus stop and rode two buses home, doing reading practice.

By 2:30 pm we were home. I was glad not to have any afternoon students so I wanted to do piano practice with them early but they were not very motivate. Tammy quit after a few minutes and finished practicing at night, but I was able to finish with Emmy. Then I went upstairs to make their sandwiches. At 3 pm Randy and Sammy returned, and after a while they all went downstairs to play while I was doing some much-needed office work.

At 4:30 pm Randy left with Tammy and Emmy to take them to swim class, while I stayed home with Sammy. I was thankful as I had lots to get done. Just before 5:30 pm Sammy and I left to go pick up leftover bread for a third of the price. Back home, I had to get ready for my 6:30 pm student. Normally Randy and the kids return around 6:45 pm but today they had missed the 6:30 pm train and had to wait for a 6:50 pm train. That meant that Sammy had to keep himself busy for half an hour while I was teaching and before they returned home but he did a great job. He was on a video call with Randy and his siblings for a while.

At 7:20 pm I finished teaching, then went downstairs with Tammy to finish piano practice. Back upstairs, there was no time left. We quickly did advent calendars, then I sat down to teach my 8 pm student. They then soon went to bed. After I was done teaching, I went to the kitchen to make my salad and got to eat dinner.
