Day 2413. I had set my alarm for 9 am as we needed to leave the house at 9:30 am. I was so very tired and would much rather have slept all morning. But Emmy was going to do a try-out soccer training at a good soccer school, and Tammy wanted to do it as well. So the three of us left the house at 9:30 am to take the subway to the end. Randy and Sammy were going to meet up at McDonald's with us afterwards.

It was a short walk from the subway to the building where the soccer school was on the top floor, outside. We rang the bell but nobody opened the door. When somebody left the building, we went inside and took the elevator to the top. There we were, in front of the glass door, looking at the soccer cages outside but the door was locked. Nobody was there. I texted the school and got an answer back that they had canceled the training and forgotten to inform us. Just great! Emmy was so disappointed that he started crying and had a fit. We had no choice but to turn around and go back home.

Back home, Randy suggested they'd use the time to practice riding their bikes, and that's what they did. After some time right outside our door, Randy took them to square between the subway and our building where there was plenty of space. When they returned, they came running to me saying they were now able to ride their bikes.

I made lunch, we ate, then we got ready to leave the house. We left at 12:45 pm, took the subway downtown, then started walking in the direction of the restaurant in the big garden where they had an Easter event for children. We had never been there before. The event started at 1 pm, and we got there just after. We could see it from the distance. They had a jumping castle there, and kids were playing everywhere. Crafts and face-painting was payable so we skipped that. Emmy ran straight to the jumping castle while Tammy wanted to find hidden eggs and chocolate, and she found two rabbits and three eggs right away. Sammy also found an egg. By the time Emmy was done jumping and started looking, everything was already gone so he was disppointed.

But there were activities to win stuff. Tammy started jumping inside a sack, then Emmy joined her and they competed against each other. Then they got a spoon with an egg each and had to race against each other without the egg falling off. That was enough for them to get a golden egg each. You could open it, and there was a piece of chocolate inside. They also had a darts game there that Sammy did, as well as throwing hoops over a rabbit that Sammy did as well. Then he also got a golden egg. Sammy saw a game similar to tennis and grabbed the rackets and the ball to play with me. We played back and forth for a while even though the terrible wind was against us. We had fun but for most of the day Emmy was behaving quite badly, giving me a hard time.

We had done everything, and they had all jumped on the castle, so we were ready to go back home after less than an hour. That was fine with me, as tired as I was, and we had more plans for the day. By 2:15 pm we were back home, and I was ready to lie down for a nap.

Less than two hours later we left the house again to make the 4:20 pm train. After the train, we got on the subway, then walked through the mall to church where we arrived before the service started at 5 pm. It was a special service, Easter service. We found some seats, then the service started. It was an absolutely beautiful service that reminded us of what Jesus had done at Easter. Even the kids enjoyed it. After half an hour, they were told to leave to go watch Jesus's death and resurrection in the Superbook. Randy went with them. I enjoyed the rest of the service.

Once it was nearly over, I left to go to the other room where the kids were. I found Emmy running around and playing instead of watching the screen. Tammy was watching attentively. A few minutes later we all left.

We walked through the mall and got some food at the McDonald's we passed as it was late, and they were hungry. They ate on the way home. It was 8 pm by the time we got home. They got ready for bed, we prayed for them, and they went to bed while Randy and I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. After eating and a break, I went back to work.
