HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2429. Sunday, but as usual the kids were so loud that it was hard to sleep in. At 10:30 am my alarm went off as I had to cook lunch plus the kids had to do homework for their maths club. After we had eaten, Randy left with Tammy and Emmy at 12:30 pm as their class started at 1 pm. Sammy and I stayed home.
Around 1:30 pm Randy came back home and played with Sammy for half an hour, then they both left to go pick up the other kids and go to the playground for a little while. I stayed home and enjoyed the quiet to get some work done. It was getting darker and darker outside, and a thunderstorm actually got Randy and the kids before they got home around 3:30 pm.
They had some icecream, then we went downstairs to do our own little service. After that, it was time for piano practice, then I went upstairs to make their sandwiches, followed by cutting up their fruit. They came upstairs as well to eat, then they went into the bathtub. It was nice not to be under time pressure. That way we had plenty of time to read martyr stories; they didn't want me to stop at all but by 8:30 pm they had no choice but to go to bed. I then got myself something to eat and took a break before going back to work.
This morning it was back to school. I got up to make their snacks to take to school with them, did Tammy's hair and went back to bed. At 10:30 am I woke up by myself, just to find out that my student wanted to do a lesson at 11 am, so it was perfect timing. I taught until noon, then warmed up leftovers for us to eat. Just after 1 pm Randy left to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I left at 1:30 pm to pick up Sammy. By 2 pm we were back home.
And it was time for me to prepare for my 2:30 pm student. Randy and the kids got home just as I was starting to teach. By 3:20 pm I was done and went to the kitchen to make the kids' sandwiches. At 3:50 pm Randy left with Tammy and Emmy to take them to their programming class. An hour later he was back; I had started teaching again at 4:45 pm. Randy then played with Sammy and left just before I was done teaching at 5:35. Sammy and I then left the house together to pick up leftover bread for the third of the price, riding the subway for three stops there and then back. The lady who is usually there who likes Sammy so much wasn't there today.
Just after 6 pm we were back home, and I put Sammy by my desk right away as the kids' music school had an online sing-along scheduled for 6:15 pm. That was also why I had stayed home instead of Randy. Sammy was excited and hoping that his teacher was the one doing it but it was the founder and director of the school again, like last week. I made Sammy's sandwich and gave it to him to eat while he was participating. It was rather late before Randy and the kids returned home - after 6:30 pm as they had made an unscheduled stop to say hello to someone. I had their fruit plates ready at my desk so they could join the sing-along right away and eat their fruit. It was only about another 10 minutes before it was over. Then they took their plates to the dining room table to eat.
It was already 7 pm and late, with much to do. A few minutes later we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs I still needed to prepare for my 8 pm student. It was 7:30 before they got into the bathtub. Once out, there was little time left. I prayed for them, and both Tammy and Emmy lay down in my bed while I was teaching at the desk right next to it. Tammy has a little bit of a cold and has been a little restless tonight as she always is when she can't breathe through her nose.
At 9 pm I was done teaching and took the kids back to their beds. I had managed to eat something earlier so I went straight to my computer to relax before going back to work. Now it's 1 am and time to take care of the kitchen.
