HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2483. My alarm went off at 9:30 am, and at 10 am I left the house with Tammy and Emmy. We rode the subway downtown, then walked to their music school where their piano class started at 10:30 am. We did a lot of small talk before the class started with the greeting song, then the finger warmup.
Next we went through the songs the kids will be playing at the end-of-semester concert. This time the kids all got to go to the teacher's piano to play the song they'll be playing at the concert. Both kids made some mistakes. Tammy was making fun of the bowing part and had everyone laugh.
Then the kids went forward to practice the two songs they'll be doing at the concert. After that, they got their stickers and stamps, and the class was over. I had already had a minute with their teacher before the class and told her which four songs Emmy was doing at the big concert and which two songs he was dropping. We also showed her the picture of Emmy in his suit, and she loved it.
While in class, it suddenly started raining really hard, pouring down from the sky. Tammy stopped singing and ran to me crying as she thought there was not gonna be any Royal Rangers meeting because of it and she expected her friend to come. By the time we left the music school, the rain had completely stopped again, and the sun was coming out. We walked to the subway and took a different line than usual, then switched to another one and walked to a different McDonald's than usual where Randy and Sammy were already waiting for us. I had ordered our food on the way, and they were already eating it.
We joined them and enjoyed our food. Randy and Sammy already left quite early, about 12:45 pm, while the rest of us stayed a few more minutes. Then we also left. We rode the subway for a few stops and reached our destination at 1 pm already, half an hour before we had to be there. So we went inside the mall to go to the restrooms and were back at the meeting point at 1:15. Then the main teacher that day already arrived with her guitar. As for Tammy's friend, they had mixed up the dates so she was not coming. After a few minutes, I said my good-byes and left them in good hands to have a great time with other kids, playing and learning about God.
I took the subway and then the train and got home just after 2 pm. I was extremely tired but had to teach at 2:15 pm. I taught until just after 3 pm, then wanted to lie down. Soon Randy and Sammy came home; they had gone straight to Sammy's music class from McDonald's. It took a while before I could finally lie down and close my eyes but my timer was set to 15 minutes early. And I never fell asleep but got up before the time was up to get ready for us to leave the house.
Just after 4 pm Randy, Sammy and I left the house. We took the train and then the subway, then walked through the mall to get to church. That's where we saw Tammy right away who was playing with other kids, and then Emmy. We then went into the sanctuary and chose seats. At 5 pm the service started. Normally the kids can go to their program after 20-30 minutes but not this time. They got more and more restless but because of Father's Day they had to stay. After an hour of worship and announcements and stuff, it was time to honor the fathers. The kids went up front, and after the adults had spoken, they got medals that they then distributed to all the men in the room. It said "World's Best Dad" on the medal. Only then could they finally leave and go to their kids' program. I stayed in the sanctuary and got to hear the pastor preach.
At 7:20 pm the service was starting to wind down but I could not wait any longer as I had a student at 8:30 pm. I went to the kids' room, then we all left church to go home. Just after 8 pm we were back home. The kids got ready to go to bed, while I got my lesson ready. At 8:30 I started teaching while the kids were still in the process of going to bed. By 9:20 pm I was done teaching and went to the kitchen to get something to eat and take a break. Later I started working on the pictures of the day, and as always it was late before I made it to bed.
