Day 2464. On Saturday I had to get up at 9:30 am as they had piano class at 10:30 am. There were actually no classes this weekend but as their teacher had not been able to do the class a week ago, she was doing it this week. And so Tammy, Emmy and I left the house at 10 am and rode the subway downtown, then walked to the music school. Ours was the only class going on. It was eerily quiet with no other people there.

There was only one other student in our class, the fourth one not having come. After the greeting song, the teacher asked them about their plans for the afternoon, then she did the finger warm-up, followed by one of the old songs. Then she started working on a new song for them to play before teaching them a new song to sing. In the end, she did a story but she changed it up and used the kids' and her own name which made it so much more fun for the kids. Then the kids got their stickers and stamps, and the class was over.

We headed back to the subway, rode it for a few stops and went to the McDonald's there where Randy and Sammy were already waiting for us. We had a good time eating, then headed home. We had half an hour to get ready before having to leave again. We gathered all the swim stuff together, as well as the birthday gifts. At 1:30 pm we left the house and walked to the bus stop, then got on. We rode it for a while, got off and walked the rest of the way to the swimming pool. It was our first birthday party at a swimming pool.

One of the birthday kid's parents came to the cashier so they could let us in, then we joined the birthday party. They had one corner of the outside pool area where all the invitees were. It seemed that most everyone was already there, most other kids being from their school class. Tammy and Emmy took their clothes off and started playing with their friends right away. There was no actual pool there, just two areas with water, one having water that wasn't even knee-deep. There was also a water slide.

Sammy wanted to swim as well, so I took him to the water area where he was having fun. At first the water was cold but I soon got used to it and even sat down in the water to play with Sammy.

Later Randy took over, and I sat down.

The kids played with their friends all afternoon. There were also snacks for them to eat. Emmy played ball a lot, and they both went down the slide quite a bit. Then Emmy wanted to go inside so I went with him. Tammy also followed, and they played in the pool inside with their friends. I sat against the wall watching them, then left them as there was another parent watching them.

I returned to our corner and lay down and fell asleep briefly until Randy returned with Sammy and woke me up. Sammy was having fun as he loves being in water. And then it was finally time for the gifts. The kids handed their gifts to their friend, then continued playing.

At 6 pm we thought it was time to get going. Sammy was getting tired while Tammy and Emmy were begging to go back inside to the pool with their friends but Randy wanted to leave. So we packed up, said good-bye and walked to the bus stop, then rode the bus home where we arrived at 6:30 pm.

The kids had eaten snacks all afternoon and were not hungry. We also skipped the bathtub, as well as reading and piano practice. Everyone was so tired that the kids went to bed at 7 pm instead of 8 pm, after having read some stories. I then went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat and enjoyed the early evening without having to teach.

On Sunday I enjoyed sleeping in. Randy had taken them outside to the playground in the morning which meant the house was quiet, allowing me to sleep undisturbed. Once they got back, they woke me up, and I went to the kitchen to make lunch. After we had eaten, I sat down at the computer to get ready for my students. After a while, Randy left with the kids again, this time going outside so they could ride their bikes. However, Tammy didn't want to ride her bike and stayed inside by herself. At 3:15 pm I started teaching, going until 4:30 pm. Then I made the kids' sandwiches and had another student from 4 to 5 pm. They were eating while I was teaching. After I was done, I cut up fruit and gave it to them. A little later we went downstairs for piano practice, then it was time for the bathtub. We had plenty of time for stories which we enjoyed. Then I prayed for them, and they went to bed, while I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat and take a break. Later I went back to work.

Today was Monday but it was a holiday. Once again I enjoyed sleeping in as I had no morning students. Randy again took them to the playground, and they woke me up once they returned. I then went to the kitchen to cook lunch. We ate, then I sat down to prepare for my student. The kids were watching a movie. At 2:30 pm I started teaching. Randy took the boys outside to ride their bikes while Tammy stayed home doing crafts which she loves doing. I was done at 3:30 pm, then continued with office work. Time went back fast. It didn't take long until it was time to make their sandwiches and cut up their fruit and give it all to them. After they had eaten, we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs, we did reading practice, then it was bathtub time earlier than usual. They had fun, then we did story time. We had plenty of time. After I had prayed for them, they got ready to go to bed while I sat down to teach from 8 to 9 pm. They tried to both sleep in my bed but it hardly ever works so I told them to go to their own beds. After I was done teaching at 9 pm. I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat and take a break. Then I went back to work.
