Day 1000. Today they are 1000 days old! From three digits to four! Last night I was loading the dishwasher before going to bed, when Emmy walked up to me. I told him I was nearly done and asked him to lie down in my bed and wait for me there. He was still awake, when I went to bed.

Day 999. Last night I went to bed at 12:40 am. Tammy joined us in bed pretty early, slept there for a while, then Randy took her back to her bed. She returned later, and Emmy came in the early morning hours. However, he was already up at 6:30, together with his sister. Way too early!

Day 998. Last night I went to bed at 12:30. A few minutes earlier Emmy had walked up to and asked for milk, then he went to bed in my bed to wait for me. By the time I went to bed, he was fast asleep, and so I was able to take him back to his own bed. This night was a little different in that Tammy did not come to us.
