Day 2539. It was nice not to have an alarm or any responsabilities this morning but the kids were up way early again and were loud, keeping me from sleeping until they finally went downstairs to have breakfast. I got up just after 10 am, went downstairs to get some food and my tea and went back upstairs to prepare for my 11 am lesson. I taught until noon, then continued working on my computer. Eventually Randy came by and encouraged me to go downstairs and get some food; everyone else had already eaten. The kids had had a fun morning playing with their cousins. At one point they went outside to jump on a trampoline that had water spraying on them.
And the fun continued in the afternoon. Just before 3 pm we got into the car to drive down the hill to Randy's mother's house. Randy had already spent time with her in the morning. It was good to see her again and to spend some time with her. Sammy was trying out her walker and was able to walk with it. The kids were soon getting bored as we had told them not to be loud or wild, and they had not brought their tablets along. So we soon said our good-byes so Grandma could get the rest she needed.
Back at the house the kids continued playing with their nieces while I got back on my computer to take advantage of the time to catch up on office work. At some point we all went to the kitchen to eat dinner together, then the kids continued playing. At 8 pm it was bedtime. We still read a story, I prayed for them, and they went to bed. It was quite a bit later than 8 pm by that time. Randy also went to bed early, while I'm staying up late as usual.
