6 years 11 months 27 days

Day 2552. I got up at 10 am this morning. Of course everyone else had been up for a while. I then started packing our suitcases for our flight in the early morning hours tomorrow. We had some frozen meals we heated up for lunch, then we left the house at 12:45 pm.

We drove to the International House of Prayer that had had an impact on my life when I lived in Kansas City for two years. Yesterday my friend had told me that the prophecy and healing rooms were operational again and that the prophecy rooms started at 1:30 pm on Friday. He said we could just come, so we did.

It was great being in the prayer room again where God has been worshipped 24/7 for the past 27 years. I didn't see anything concerning the prophecy rooms, so we walked up to Steve who then helped us. In fact, the rooms weren't starting until 2 pm. Someone then told us where to sign up and to sit in a certain section of the prayer room where we'd wait for them to call us into the room. At first, Tammy and Emmy were running and playing ball, then Tammy sat down next to me, and the boys were playing ball and had lots of fun. We then all took communion together.

After some time, they came to take us to the room where two ladies were waiting for us. They introduced themselves, one said a few words and asked our names. Then they prayed and waited briefly on the Lord. They then started prophesying over me and went down the line ending with Randy. I have a 20-minute audio file. It was encouraging but we have to relisten again and transcribe it all.

When we left the prayer room and went into the lobby, the receptionist looked at us and recognized us right away. We had talked to her a year ago, when she also recognized me as she'd heard me speak at a homegroup meeting. Tammy showed her the tooth that had come out while in the prophecy room. She's now the first of the triplets to have lost a 7th tooth. The lady took the tooth and threw it in the trash - leaving Tammy shocked as she had wanted to keep the tooth. The lady tried to get it out of the trash, but couldn't find it. We talked a few minutes, then we left.

We got back into the car and drove a minute up the road to my friends' house where we arrived at 2:45 pm. They've been good friends for 25 years, and it was great to see them again. The kids had the tablets with them to keep them busy, and my friend interacted with them, asking them about the games they were playing. Sammy was most interested in the dog - as they all were - and they all tried to pet it even though it wasn't too keen on being petted. We had a great time talking and catching up. Just before 4 pm we took a picture together, then we said our good-byes.

Our next stop was also not very far from there, and also a friend of 25 years. She was in Bible school with me, and I even lived at her house for a year while in school. She's been sick so we went to her house, walked inside and straight to where she was lying to pray for her. We talked a little, got an update, then all five of us prayed for her healing. It was good to see her again and to be able to bless her. We didn't stay long but said our good-byes. The kids were eager to get back to the house.

Just after 5 pm we were back, and the kids had just over an hour to play until we'd have to leave again. Tammy was recording a puppet play on her tablet with one of the girls. In the morning the Mom of the house had braided her hair, and Tammy loved it. Emmy was playing with one of the boys, and Tammy was playing with the Mom and the dog.

At 6:15 pm we left the house again to drive to the church where I went to ministry school. We got there 10 minutes before the service was to start at 7 pm. A lot of people were recognizing me and greeting me, and I talked to a few. Then we went inside and got some seats, and the service started.

The music was quite loud so Randy got earplugs for everyone but they weren't staying in their small ears. We still all enjoyed the worship. Sammy was singing and raising his hands and jumping. The other two were less enthusiastic. Then the pastor's wife came up and started speaking. It was a prayer night, and tonight they prayed for school kids as school starts again on Monday here, so it was perfect. When they called all the kids to the front, we went there. I stayed with them, Sammy holding my hand, and Randy then also joined us there. Sammy was tired and wanted to go home but I was able to help him continue on and be patient until the end of the service.

After they had prayed for the kids, the service was over, and we went to the front to talk to the pastor's wife. It was great to see her again. Sammy grabbed her hand, and all the kids greeted her. We then exchanged a few words. I gave her a quick update on what's been going on in Mali, then we said our good-byes. I found the kids interacting with another lady from the church who had given them gifts. We talked a little, then we talked to one of my Bible school teachers and took a picture with him. Then it was time to go. It was nearly 9 pm, and the kids were tired.

By 9:20 pm we were back at the house and found everyone still up, so we joined them. We had some food and some of their home-made cookies and talked. Then we took a picture together and said good-bye to each other. We had a great time at their house and with this amazing family.

It was time for the kids to go to bed; it was after 10 pm. They put their travel clothes on and lay down and fell asleep right away. Randy and I then finished packing, and Randy loaded everything into the car while I turned my computer on to work on today's pictures and report. Now it's 1 am, and in 90 minutes our alarms will go off as we have to get up to go to the airport and fly back to California. Please pray for our trip today!
