This is Salimata. She has three children and lives in Sebela. Her husband is in Algeria, but it's  been 9 months since she last heard from him. She hadn't eaten in 2.5 days, when we gave her rice. She said, "This rice saves our lives."

Day 1274. Last night it was 3:30 am before I made it to bed. This morning I looked at my clock, when Emmy got up. It was only 6:40. You can imagine how very tired I was. Soon his siblings were up as well. Around 9 am Randy got up to change their diapers and make his oatmeal for them.

Day 1273. I had to set an alarm for 8 am this morning, but of course Emmy was up early again, and soon the others were up as well. I was very tired, but we had to get up. I dressed the kids after breakfast, and we left just after 9 am to  take the 9:20 train.
