HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2511. I did not have any students on Friday. The kids had fun at the house while I was doing office work. Especially the boys really love the dog and play with him a lot. After lunch, we went swimming again. There was a big palm tree leave on the ground that looked like a mask, and the kids took it with them.
Back at the house, we found our Amazon package that had arrived. It had Tammy's new bathing suit in it since hers hadn't made it to the US with us. She was very excited and put it on later, when the kids went into the garden to play with water and got all wet again. They also jumped on the trampolin.
I played several games of chess with the kids again. It's amazing how fast they have learned to play it these past few days. And they really enjoy it.
In the evening, Emmy wanted to stay up until 9 pm, and he did. Tammy and Sammy went to bed earlier, and I went to bed at midnight.
Even here I haven't had enough sleep. Even though I already go to bed at midnight, the kids still get up early and don't let me sleep. This morning I got up at 7:30 am, before my alarm was to go off at 8 am. We had breakfast - another wonderful one cooked by the family - and the kids also had cereal. Tammy was actually "eating" it with a big straw today. I then left to get ready for my 9 am student.
I taught until 10 am, then went to our room to get a nap because I was so tired. Again, Emmy would not leave me alone until he finally did leave and I finally did get the chance to fall asleep and sleep a little.
It was 12:30 pm when I got up. Tammy and Emmy were playing chess with each other, later they were doing some drawing. It was 2:30 pm before we sat down to eat. They had cooked a wonderful meal but our kids don't like fish so they made them some spaghetti. Randy actually tried the fish dish with seaweed.
The kids wanted to go swimming, of course, and Sammy asked his friend, one of the daughters, if she'd come with us, and she did. It was after 3 pm when we drove to the nearby community pool. The girl never went into the water but our kids did. I was having fun with Sammy, as always. Then the girl's Dad showed us the other pool around the corner. There was nobody there - except four ducks swimming in the pool. However, they left when we got into the water.
We had lots of fun but it was time to return to the house because we had plans. Back at the house, we got dressed nicely. Just after 5:30 pm we finally all left. Sammy took his new Peppa Pig memory game with him that had arrived and that he had impatiently been waiting for. He was very excited about it.
We drove nearly 15 minutes to a church that was putting on a soccer world championship watch party for the Argentina-Switzerland game. Our friends' family came as well. They had a little potluck buffet set up when we walked in, and the game had already started and was on the big screen in the sanctuary. We got some food and chose a table to sit at. Our friends had the table next to us. Emmy was excited about the game while the rest of us didn't really care. Sammy was happy playing his memory game, and very happy when his friend played with him at one point, even though it wasn't for long, during the half time break.
Our friends also introduced us to the pastors of the Spanish-speaking group who was putting on the event, and we had a good time talking with them. They told us to connect with their main pastor which we hope to do when we're back here in August.
The game went on and on, and all the kids were getting really tired. Tammy finally fell asleep leaning on me, and Sammy started whining as well. In the end, the game lasted for 124 minutes which was really long, and Argentina won. It was finally time to leave. On the way back to the house, Emmy fell asleep in the car.
It was 9:15 pm by the time we were back, and the kids went straight to bed. I then turned my computer on to work on the pictures and write my report. Now it's after midnight, and I also need to go to bed. Tomorrow we go to church, then we have 7 hours of driving ahead of us.
